Sorry to dig up a thread from so long ago - but my SRS unit was affected in exactly the same way. Same symptom. Blowing SRS Fuse #1 , damaged capacitors on the board.

My NSX is an October 1990 built car, and I have recently had all the panels off, paint stripped and refinished. The only minuscule evidence I could find of any 'corrosion' was near the passenger side nut-serts in the frame behind the door, basically where the rear fender bolts to the frame...
