SRS Failure

Mine just started blowing fuses last week. A 15amp fuse will hold but I'd like to get it repaired. Brian, will you give us a ballpark figure on your price for repair? THX.

Repair is $250, it would be better to have it INOP over running a bigger fuse.

I agree. I took the fuse out until I can get to fixing it. I have to get my windows operating first - UHG!

I just removed mine and was able to remove the 4 screws with little effort by using a butane pencil torch to heat the back side of the screws about 6 seconds and using a 3/8 ratchet.

Sorry to dig up a thread from so long ago - but my SRS unit was affected in exactly the same way. Same symptom. Blowing SRS Fuse #1 , damaged capacitors on the board.
