Thanks. When I was talking about distance, I was taking into account the different width of the wheels too. So a 17x8 with a 42 offset will be farther out than a 17x7 with a 38 offset. But the 18x9 with the 35 offset is virtually identical to an 18x10 with a 45 offset (if I did my math...

It seems like a lot of different offsets are being used. Comptech uses 17x8's with a 42 offset and 18x10's with a 45 offset. It seems like the wheels exceed outside the bottom part of the wheel well. Has anybody experienced any bady damage such as paint chipping from sand, etc. being kicked...

Thanks Thanks everyone. I've called around some more too and I've decided to go with the 215/40/17 and 265/35/18. Comptech also believes the 215/45/17 has some rubbing potential depending on the tire, but they do like the 275/35/18's ... but I'm going to go with the 265's.
