    Autocross?

OEM It seems like the tires being discussed either have a treadwear of 50 or 200. Anyone try the OEM Bridgestone RE010's for this event or hear how they work? BTW, thanks Tank for all the info. Also, will the Victoracer 275's fit on my 17x8.5. If not, it looks like I will have 225/50/16 and...

    Autocross?

oops I meant the ecsta V700's not the 710's which I think have been recalled. So did you mean the ecsta V700's or the MX's? I'm going to assume you meant the V700's since they are in the same class as the Victoracer's. Between these two ... any preference or more good insight? What about the...

    Autocross?

I'm searching for a good grippy tire. The Ecsta v710's are supposed to be and have a treadwear of 50, but if they don't work nearly as well as others for autocross or if they wear out much faster than other track tires, I don't want to go with them. Also, if there are better types of tires for...

    Autocross?

tires??? I'm about to get into this. Any suggestions on tires for this event and what kind of life can be expected? The Kumho ecsta V700's seem very economical and can be flipped. But how do they wear and perform compared to others?

any issues with a nose mask/bra rubbing paint

I'm considering getting either a factory NSX nose mask or one by from Colgan. I only plan on using this when doing some long distance drives on the highway or if I take it on the track. Has anyone had any paint rubbing issues with either of these bras or any others? Any comments or thoughts...

    offsets and body damage?

Thanks. When I was talking about distance, I was taking into account the different width of the wheels too. So a 17x8 with a 42 offset will be farther out than a 17x7 with a 38 offset. But the 18x9 with the 35 offset is virtually identical to an 18x10 with a 45 offset (if I did my math...

    offsets and body damage?

It seems like a lot of different offsets are being used. Comptech uses 17x8's with a 42 offset and 18x10's with a 45 offset. It seems like the wheels exceed outside the bottom part of the wheel well. Has anybody experienced any bady damage such as paint chipping from sand, etc. being kicked...

    Tire size HELP please

Thanks Thanks everyone. I've called around some more too and I've decided to go with the 215/40/17 and 265/35/18. Comptech also believes the 215/45/17 has some rubbing potential depending on the tire, but they do like the 275/35/18's ... but I'm going to go with the 265's.

    Tire size HELP please

I've been reading your posts and other threads on the TCS and tire sizes. Thanks. Any comments or suggestions on the 215/45/17 and 275/35/18 setup? Would this creat a potential understeer problem? Apparantly Comptech uses 215/40/17 and 275/35/18's but I'm assuming they disregard the TCS ...

    Tire size HELP please

I have an '01 and am upgrading the wheels to 17" in front and 18" in back. I've been getting conflicting advice. I was originally going to go with 215/45/17 and 275/35/18. I was told a 265/35 would throw the heights off and the 275 is .96" taller than the fronts. But now I'm concerned that...

2001 silverstone, 5k miles, extended warranty, 6 speed

Asking price is $72,500. EXTENDED WARRANTY is better than a new NSX. Yes it only has 4900 miles on it. If you are looking for an NSX then you probably know everything there is to know about them. This one has the 3.2 l engine and comes with all the options (even though there are not many...
