Good points. The lambo philosophy is certainly going to be less conservative, it's wilder in that it's louder, more powerful, and feels less controllable (though with modern drivetrain management tech, it's probably way easier to control than lambos of yesteryear...and in a similar vein you can...
Oh I hope so too! Would love to see the 2G NSX at 100k or even lower in a few years...that much more attainable for me!
Honest question: so what exactly makes a car have "soul?" It seems hard to put into words. I doubt that Japanese or German designers/engineers are completely devoid of...
Should be interesting to see how the used market prices cars in the next 2-3 years. .
As much as I think some like to think Acura can't even give these cars away, and as much as I hope prices will go below 100k, I predict prices may stabilize in the 120s-110s. I think there is a small but...
haha, such a strong statement. Are you sure you mean any awd hybrid? (cough..918...cough)
Plus supercars are not known for Lexus-like high reliability/quality as others have mentioned. Acura should be better than McLarens and Ferraris and Benz though.....
Looks is subjective so everyone can have their own opinion....but the general consensus is that the NSX is a damn nice looking car...especially with that flying buttress (Ford GT-esque). The rear is not as sexy but it is damn good looking car for sure. Many public/C&C reactions attest to this.
Yeah no kidding.
I'm not familiar with automotive bean counting, but honestly if halo cars are loss leaders anyway, why not go all out even if there's a big loss.
The issue is how much loss can they accept. Because I'm sure it can be done...they just will lose lot of money in the...
No kidding. I'm more active on acurazine and reddit...and many people are quite critical of the NSX already. I was hoping to read/see more excitement and discussion of the type R on here but seems quite the opposite. ANd indeed there does seem to be a difference between owners and non-owners...

641hp, more carbon bits, big wing, and potentially delete/partial delete of the hybrid motors? Sounds like a plan. Should be very interesting to see what they go with and of course how much of a price bump...
911 Turbo S and R8 V10+ and 570S can't beat the 488 either...no one's complaining all over the internet about how terrible Porsche/Audi/Mclaren is....and yet Honda gets ragged on because it can't deliver a Ferrari-beating car for half the price.
Eh, that's a bit unfair, to be honest.
In this logic, many cars should've been priced alot lower just because the car maker makes lot of other mass produced cars (Ford, Chevy, Nissan, etc.)
That's not to say the price is relatively high for the market and as I'm sure many have already said...
Funny whenever I hear people complain about HP.
It's in the same league as the 911 Turbo, 570S, more than most of the R8 versions (except the V10+).
And as have already been beaten to death, the NSX is pushing new envelopes. Re-hashing the old NSX would be a huge failure.
