That matte paint could prove to be a complication. Detail shops generally can't work with them and touching them up is next to impossible.
Yamaha has a matte paint they put on motorcycles they claim to be "self-healing". Perhaps the Acura formulation has some type of advanced tech that could...
That pricing was crazy. Even crazier is the dealers I talked to had convinced themselves they would get the extra $65k. Way more cars were sold with a "market adjustment" of closer to $65k negative than $65k positive over MSRP.
It is a different machine. Here is a link to the Type R thread with a Honda bulletin regarding the issue.

The NSX wheels require a special tire mount machine - at a cost of around $25k if I remember correctly. Perhaps the dealership is trying to make it back quickly.
You could always take it to one of the tire shops that have the same machine and probably more practice with it. The Civic Type R...
This is a photo tag thread, correct?
Glad you went with the Valencia Red. I couldn't decide between that one and Source Silver. Two cars in the same color out here is too much! I'll order a silver one as soon as the factory starts accepting orders.

Honda and Acura dealerships have cash they can use to provide a discount on cars. The cash they are allotted is based on the size of the dealership. Some dealerships have been willing ot use 100% of their cash pool to discount these cars heavily. If a buyer is willing to call around and find...
Will the car be in McMinnville or greater PDX?
Did you happen to demo the Valencia red car that was going up and down the west coast last year? I would have passed on the color, but seeing in person makes a huge impression.
Morgan Peetz gonna service it for you?
Congrats!
So solid that I can't believe Acura doesn't list him as the NSX techician on the Acura website. A different guy is listed as the NSX tech at the dealership.
Fuel gauges are pretty useless at the track. Cornering at high forces screws up the fuel level sensors. Most people just get gas at lunchtime, no matter what the fuel gauge says.
You leave the track with the gauge showing half a tank, drive 5 miles on the interstate and then the sensors...

All this discussion of how to work the career system when someone else values your worth as an employee makes my head swim. Honestly, I don't know how you guys do it.
