If you are gonna try this practice on a spare junk cluster from a civic you can grab from a wrecker for cheap. More often than not this will not go well because those damn needles are on there tight.
I changed my own hoses when I did the T-Belt/water pump since I was already gonna have most of the coolant out I figured why not change them. I do have to somewhat agree with The King when cars come into the dealer I work at that are around the 20yr mark the coolant hoses are original. The only...
I have a RHD Accord CF4 I use as my daily and I do not mind driving it in Canada, you get use to making left turns, it is not that bad.
On the topic of beat up NSX's state side for 25k this is not always true. I Purchased mine for 24k with full service history out of long beach. It just needed...
Is the concern here air intake temps or ram air?
In my opinion why not just keep the factory air box but use a foam filter with the downforce scoop. I will vouch for the down force scoop, I saw the difference in air temps on my car with and without it by a few degrees. When the ambient temp was...
Where in Vancouver are you located? Might be able to help you out, the shop I am at is in Vancouver and I am located in Burnaby. PM if you need some help.
RYU I think you were correct when you said it felt like you made a little more power with the water/meth. What actually happens is the water cools the air charge then when the air/fuel ignites since the water can not burn it turns to steam. Since steam has a very large expansion ratio it helps...
I have used FIC systems for turbos and other engine mods on other Hondas but not gonna lie, the AEM series 2 I got from SOS kicks ass for my NSX. Just being able to tune every little thing and set up the out put trigger for my 6spd conversion for my 92 was the icing on the cake. I do not see a...
Wow just read the spec list for the motor and transmission don't know what else to say other than wow and I am super jealous. Just reading about your build and the parts you sourced is amazing but I gotta agree with TURBO2GO you do not need that much power let alone you trying to connect to...
I am in the same boat as RYU, I made my own aluminum units and both extend out the same distance as the oem units. Not saying mine are the same strength as the oem units but I saved a ton of weight, I used 1/8" wall thickness tubing. My goal was to save weight, plus my car is not a daily driver...
I knew it "The King" must be a salesman/service advisor/or manager of some sort at their dealer. I am a Honda tech at at a dealer in Vancouver and we service NSX's no problem. At the end of the day as long as you remember it is a Honda you can easily wrap your head around how it works and how...
If the battery and the batteries FranksNSX has replaced are constantly dying and getting jump started the batteries state of health never fully recovers. This being said I have seen intermittent A/C compressor clutch relays stick and kill batteries in a matter of minutes after sucking juice...
If you want bang for your buck nothing beats a turbo or super charger. Since you have a 2000 NSX, ITB's are most likely out of the equation. Like docjohn said what are you goals cause some one can easily reply with resleeve, stroker kit and Toda cams. That will be 15-20k by the time you are done...
If the connections at your battery are good I would move on to performing a draw test with a multimeter. I am sure you can find videos online on how to do it but if you can't this is what you do.
Disconnect the ground lead from your battery touch the (+) probe of your multimeter to the ground...
