Thanks guys, I have a 92 coupe in excellent shape (just zymol'd-a time when blk is really cool to have) w/36k mi-dont understand the creaking thing, its very slight. I just noticed the "crack" a few months ago. And I kindof think it is a crack...like FuryNSX indicated it is not perfectly...

Probably 5 w/o filter, 5.3 w/filter. But who ever changes it w/o the filter? I drained and changed my oil/filter last week with it flat on the ground--Put ~5.3 back in and it lines up nicely on the dip. [This message has been edited by Lee (edited 10 March 2001).]
