This is how I want my "ish" build thread 1997 NSX

Yeah, things are okay on my end. Still hanging out in AZ. I see the local forum is kinda dead though... bummer...

This is how I want my "ish" build thread 1997 NSX

Glad to see an "old school 'Prime vet" around here still active. Great to see the adventures with your ride, man (I do miss the black, if I'm honest, but I also relate to the passion of playing around with your car). Great work, bro.

Need Ideas for a Road Trip

I am in the initial planning phase for a trip from Phoenix AZ to Snoqualmie, WA next spring. I'm still trying to decide if I want to deal with the financial burden of flying a family of 6 out there (and renting a vehicle), plus dealing with the hassle of the airport, or if I want to drive us up...

Salt Water Pools Pros and Cons?

My wife is on my case about converting our chlorine pool to a salt water system and I asked her to research the pros and cons of it. After looking into it myself, it seems that there are some increased risks with regard to the lifespan of the equipment itself (due to the corrosive nature of...

Comparo: Michelin PSS vs Pilot Sport A/S 3+

Yup! :) I know all that. That's why the comparison. When I was shopping for a good tire, I noticed that the Michelin all-seasons outperformed many of the competitors summer tires. That's why I was having trouble deciding between the PSS and the all seasons. The previous all-seasons that I...

Comparo: Michelin PSS vs Pilot Sport A/S 3+

This is a comparison between the two tires for anyone who would like to know the difference in case they have a vehicle for which they would consider all season tires. I agonized over which ones to get (the difference in tread life being a major issue under consideration) and I wished that I...

I'm glad to see you've still got the car (weren't you talking about selling it a while back?). Yours is one of my favorite builds. :encouragement:

For the price of a category one pristine NSX what else could you buy?

What am I missing? When I first learned about the NSX back around 2001, a 10-year old car with 5 digits on the odo would go for $25-35k. That price dipped ever so slightly a little while later, and then they appreciated. Since I am the type to drive my cars and not let them sit in the garage...

For the price of a category one pristine NSX what else could you buy?

I think lots of folks have run into this question. For me, the issue of parts availability will most likely be a show stopper: I just can't get my head around spending $40K or more on a car with 100k miles (or more) on the clock and having to scour the galaxy to find bushings or wire harnesses...

How are you guys able to afford a nsx 2.0???

Sadly, no. Just loved the pic of the car in my avatar.

How are you guys able to afford a nsx 2.0???

Exactly my sentiments regarding getting a 1.0. Even though I could put together the funds with a little bit of time and discipline, I just can't convince myself to spend $40k in one fell swoop... especially not when the car will likely have 6 figures on the clock and will rapidly accumulate...

    New video from MotorTrend

Well, in particular, I was talking about GM's 8-speed, which they claim can out-shift a DCT. Know anything about it on the Z06 or CTS-V... or ATS-V as the case may be.

    New video from MotorTrend

Absolutely. There is no denying the superior performance. I, for one, prefer having a proper stick shift, even in traffic. Also, the difference in performance is negligible for a street car. The only significant advantage I have seen is on the drag strip. I am not aware of any significant...

    New video from MotorTrend

I thought the review was spot on, so far as what I anticipate the care to be like. In other words, everything he's saying is exactly what I would have expected a reviewer to say about this next gen car. Like the review, I don't really see this as a proper sequel. More like name dropping, or a...
