Here is a pic: As you can see, there is plenty of room. But I did not put the voltage regulator inside the cap. They are the 55 mm ones.

I went with the VLEDS Micro Extreme in the 5000k colour and mated them with the soft rubber dust boots that VLEDs sells. I have had no problem whatsoever with them overheating the dust boots. The full 18000 lumen when all four are on high beams is impressive. Yet on low beams, they do not blind...

Thank you for your generosity! Just one question - how are the various sizes measured? Outside dimension from the bottom of the cap to the outside of the rear vent? Or something else?

According to the VLEDs website, their Micro Extreme LEDs can safely run behind a dust cap.

Caps are available from VLEDs. This is what I did with mine. Ignore the slot at the bottom of the high beam housing - that was an early cut and was not necessary. In all of the housings I wound up cutting the slot in the top through which to run the wires and then sealed them with silicone.

It turns out that their bulbs won't fit but VLeds will. So that is what I installed.
