So true, it is especially odd when I hear people say that gen 2 isnt selling because it's nothing like gen 1... since the mid 90s so many people claimed the NSX was too expensive for what it was and no one wanted to buy it. I'm surprised they even brought it back since "barely anyone" wanted...
Keep the batteries, if they lose the hybrid there's nothing that makes the car unique from the competition. But you're right about the boost. A facelift and ~625hp would be spectacular.
You're right! :)
The P1 also has almost 900 and can put it down. In that case, I dream of them using electric torque-fill and RWD but I have to accept that Acura must push the SH-AWD for marketing purposes.
It wouldn't be able to get those 0-60 times no matter how much power it has if it doesn't have AWD. I wonder how heavy (maybe lighter) it would have been if they used a traditional dif for AWD and made the torque-fill motor bigger.
This will be sad for Acura, it's awesome that they were the first to get the budget hybrid-supercar on the market but they didn't do it right. McLaren and Nissan will learn from Acura's mistakes and make a better budget hybrid-supercar. Unfortunately history doesn't necessarily remember who was...
Yeah, I believe that she was responsible for making the design streetable but had to work with the original design from the 2012 concept by Toshinobu Minami and of course had to keep that god awful beak.
The first time I drove the old NSX was 10 years ago, the S2000 15 years ago. The moment I sat in both these vehicles I was immediately excited upon turning the ignition. I loved the reliable engineering combined with fun and that's what Honda was known for. I ended up owning a Prelude, CSX, and...
I'm gonna go with a real cup holder. I don't think you need to waste 12 inches of interior space to fit a digital shifter and parking brake, that can easily be a quarter of the size. At least one real cupholder in an "everyday supercar" without jabbing into your passenger's leg.
It really depends on how the new grille design ends up looking on the refresh, there's a chance for them to save the NSX if they do it properly... but I've been disappointed so many times through this project I'm not expecting it to happen.
I'm hoping the refresh has more power and more...
