Adding turn signal lights in the "fangs" in the tail lights?

Has anyone done this? Or is it possible or easy to do? I want the fangs to light up when the turn signals are on... b/c as stock they're just reflectors right? Anyone know whats behind them? Space enough to put lights? Thanks
