Can I exchange a coil pack from a 95 to diagnose a bad one on my 97? Need to know if they are the same.
thanks!

'95 and '97 are the same, though different from earlier years. Also, front coils and rear coils have different part numbers, but are probabaly interchangeable for quick troubleshooting. I believe only the seals are different between front and rear.

wow! thanks for the quick reply! I love this site!

'91-'94 NSXes have OBD-I diagnostics; '95-'05 NSXes have OBD-II diagnostics and therefore require a different, 3-pin design. So the difference is in the design for OBD-I or OBD-II applications. '91 through '94 coil packs are interchangeable and '95 through '05 coil packs are interchangeable.

The '91-'94 coil packs seem to be harder to find and cost a lot more. This apparently is a function of supply (less) and demand (more).
