I saw one of those old, hunk of junk, Italian sports cars with the dual exhaust tips shooting almost straight up and that's what got me inspired...
May look cool on NSX stock diffuser if done right .
I recently happened upon a certain shorty muffler for motorcycles on ebay and dig how they look.
The steel fabric weave with the flat back slash cut end...cool contrast. I bought two plus a pair of corvette dual exhaust tips .
I like my CT gen 2 exhaust and the tips are just fine but the vision of duals has stuck with me.
As I sat in the garage starring at the beautiful thing (NSX) , I tried to talk myself out of it but then, I just got down there and took the dam pipe off lol. Not hard but just a PITA.. but I've had plenty of practice with previous cars that had turbo lol. Took it over to a good friend that has nicely equipped machine shop and cut original tips off. It will take a bit of thinking to achieve desired look and angle
Now I'm committed to doing it so I will post the finished product if anyone may be interested.
I know it borders on rice and in the end, angle won't be so extreme but flame suit on lol.
The true highlight of the day was to be able to rig a suitable mock-up fixture so simply (see pics), I could then view how it may look immediately and experiment with angles.
The last picture is using photoshop to remove mockup fixture and clone the existing side for a good look at the potencial back view before it actually exists.
Anyhow, It was a fun day.
