Powertrain FOR SALE: C30A engine + 5sp transmission w/ JDM short gears

EDIT: It has come to my attention that some people have come across other listings that my friend has made as well. He is doing the engine swap project with me and I have asked him to list this stuff on Facebook Marketplace as well as other sites because I hate dealing with FB. So no, he isn't trying to scam anyone, just helping get this stuff sold. I apologize for the confusion and should have said this at the outset. Thanks for all the interest!

EDIT 2: Took a closer look at the exhaust and it's NOT the TaiTec exhaust. Not sure which unit it actually is as it lacks badging of any kind. I have a
separate thread started to see if anyone can identify it.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HAVE DONE 159,815 MILES TOGETHER.

I've decided to invite the pitchforks and zealous hatred of the forum upon myself --- I'm engine swapping my 1991! The original powertrain is seeking a new home:

ENGINE - ASKING $15,000
Engine is on my DIY cradle where I've given it a refresh:

- New OEM timing belt
- New OEM water pump
- New OEM crankshaft pulley
- New OEM timing cover
- New OEM seals (replaced nearly every single seal)
- New OEM valve cover gaskets
- SOS cam shaft plugs
- SOS lost motion assemblies
- SOS complete OEM coolant hose kit refresh
- Valve covers refinished by SOS
- CRF crankshaft pulley shield
- Valve adjustment
- Will include new OEM oil pan gasket
- Includes spark plugs, injectors, fuel rail, manifold cover, etc.
- Not sure which flywheel is currently installed...

TRANSMISSION - ASKING $7,000
- Not in snap ring failure range (attached photo of serial# J4A4-1001888)
- 5-speed
- JDM short gear set (previous owner didn't have records of install, so I can only say it was installed less than 159,815 miles ago lol)
- Retains stock final drive (good balance of quicker acceleration and good highway cruising RPMs)
- Comptech competition Sachs clutch disc + pressure plate (not sure which one, again no records from previous owner, judging by pedal weight probably what most would consider Stage 2 or 3; lots of holding power)
- Will include clutch slave cylinder

IF PURCHASED TOGETHER, ASKING PRICE IS $20,000 AND I WILL SPLIT THE SHIPPING 50/50 WITH BUYER.

I'll likely be adding a few other items as the project progresses (TaiTec cat-back exhaust, stock catalytic converters, stock headers, engine/trans mounts, ECU, wiring harnesses, etc.) so if you have a need for stuff related to the powertrain feel free to message me.

Interested in the trans. When were the JDM short gears put in? Does the trans have the Type R final drive as well?

This is a VERY good question that I unfortunately do not have a very good answer for. Previous owner didn't have that great of records so I can only tell you they were installed less than 159,815 miles ago. It retains the stock final drive. Been meaning to modify the original post to include this info, thanks for the question/reminder.
 
What engine are you putting in there? You had a K20 swapped Exige, right?
Correct, it was an Exige with a supercharged K24. As for what is going in the NSX, I'm keeping tight-lipped about it until it actually starts happening. I don't want to jinx anything!
 
I think it's been 30 calendar days since my original post so I'm gonna bump this thread.

Have had a few nibbles on the engine and trans separately. Feel free to send me offers! Worst I can do is secretly scoff then politely decline (because although my mother didn't raise me right, I still managed to learn not to openly be a jerk). JK JK, I'll consider all serious offers.

Some new info, tho... clutch disc is toast and will need to be replaced. Flywheel is very light. I've attached photos of it and the pressure plate. The pressure plate is a Sachs unit, the markings on it (TYP GMFZ 240) cross reference to a Porsche 911 Turbo application. The clutch disc itself is also a Sachs unit with markings of 88.1861999615. I'm giving a shoulder shrug on that one.

If anyone wants the flywheel or pressure plate they're up for grabs, I know I need to name a price. I'll update the original posting when I get a chance to weigh the flywheel. Also, flywheel bolts will go with it and might include a bonus 17mm socket that I can't be bothered to remove at the moment.

I'll also be selling the pedal assembly and shifter assembly if anyone is looking for it. Will be creating a separate listing for it.
