At least looks wise . It is Probably the last Special Edition before the all new model:

Lamborghini has unveiled the new Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore at the Qatar Motor Show.
As the name implies, the special edition has a two-tone paint scheme with Noctis Black accents
and a body that is available in Giallo Midas, Arancio Borealis, Grigio Telesto, Bianco Monocerus or
Blu Caelum.

To dress up the interior, designers added Nero Noctis trim and Nero Persus leather with contrast
stitching that mimics the exterior body color.

Like the standard model, power comes from a 5.2-liter V10 engine with 560 PS (412kW / 552 hp)
and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. Mated to the standard e-gear transmission, the Bicolore
accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

According to Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini, "With the Gallardo LP 560-4
Bicolore, Lamborghini demonstrates once again the extreme, uncompromising and unmistakably
Italian nature of our brand. The super sports cars from Lamborghini combine volcanic energy
with design that is as unique as it is stylish."

meh... the black roof seems to detract from the lines of the car. The curve of the roofline is an important styling aspect that makes the car what it is, and now it's been visually eliminated.

School bus yellow:eek:

Everything old is new again.

Still better than the original two tone NSX thief. Nothing against the car but man I just couldn't stand those body styles.

Not to mention those crappy interiors on all the Government Motors cars.

LOL I couldn't stand looking at the exterior...so I never had a desire to see the interior.:biggrin:

Nope...Lamborghini puts out different editions all the time, and its tiring..in addition to drivng the value down of existing owners vehicles.those that bought a Balboni lost a lot....the SE became the standard model less the black paint in 06...just like the Bicolore...and this is just more marketing spin..the new Murcie will be out soon..and hopefully the Gallardo will follow...

"Lamborghini has confirmed to us that the U.S. Gallardo lineup is growing. In addition to the LP550-2 Bicolore we told you about earlier in the week, Lambo is now offering standard, single-color, rear-wheel-drive LP550-2 coupes, with a choice of either the six-speed manual or e-gear transmission.

Last year’s limited-edition LP550-2 Valentino Balboni sold out quickly, and the Bicolore is only available with the automatic e-gear transmission and in five different color combos, so the new LP550-2 model will complement the LP560-4 coupe and become the brand’s price leader. This new “base” Gallardo, with a stick and rear drive, is priced at $193,895, while the LP550-2 with e-gear is $202,995. If you don’t want to shift for yourself and don’t mind (or, better yet, prefer) the black roof treatment, you’re better off with the e-gear–only Bicolore, which runs $196,995. Those prices include destination charges and gas-guzzler tax. (Interesting side note: Gas-guzzler on a manual-transmission Gallardo is $3000, but only $2100 for e-gear cars. The cars’ 1-mpg difference in city mileage ain’t cheap.)"

modern supercars tend to be bigger than old, so i think they are trying to make the cars look sleeker. many cars black out the bottom to achieve the same effect... and that works when the car isn't next to a lower car. blacking out the top certainly works better regardless what its parked next to.
