If anyone is interested, NASA (National Auto Sport Association) is having their season opener at Infineon Raceway on Saturday 2/10 and Sunday 2/11. All you have to do is register with NASA and pay their annual membership and you can drive at Infineon Raceway for $159 one day or $279 for both days. You will not find a better price. http://www.nasaproracing.com/schedules/norcal2007.html
There are 4 different HPDE groups. For the 1st timers, you can go into the HPDE1 class and have a driving instructor teach you all day long. This is a great opportunity for anyone to learn car control in a safe controlled environment.
I was planning on going to this and drive in the HPDE4 group and watch my friends race in the Spec944 series but I think I am going to most likely join Mike Lee and go to Willow Springs http://www.drivingconcepts.com/ and attend the competition/racing school so I can get licensed to race with my friends in the Spec944 class later this year.
