Randy, what length lens were you using? Your shots are tighter than some of mine (or is that because you cropped them for posting here).

Yes, that gold on the Ebbro NSX was wicked! I also had no idea how bright the ARTA NSX is in person.

I don't know if you noticed that AutoArt was in the vendor area. I complained about the lack of NSXs on display (there weren't any) and the guy told me that they will be releasing all of the JGTC NSXs in 1:18 scale die-cast next year!!!! Must get the entire line!!!!!
My lens is a 28mm - 300mm, but, yes, I did crop some pics. :)

I definitely have to go with a faster lens (hint, hint, Santa...), since many of my dusk and night shots just weren't picking up enough light. I'm almost ashamed to post anything from D1GP U.S. vs. Japan. There's so many nice pics from everyone else in this thread.

Good to hear about AutoArt releasing some NSXs next year. But, sheesh, their race series is like $50 and up each. That's $50 x ???? = gripload of cash!!!

On a similar note, there was one vendor that was selling different color, stripe, and sponsor variations of the 1:18 MuscleMachines NSXs that you can find out Target, WalMart, etc. But they also had prototypes of a 1:18 Autobacs NSX and a 1:24 Takata NSX from MuscleMachines that were a little truer to scale. (I can post pics if you didn't notice.) They already have the 1:64 version of the Takata NSX for sale (which I picked up at JGTC. :))

Here are mine. I had a blast. I loved the sound of cars, especially #2 - the best sounding NSX ever..

I agree, that #2 NSX sounded sweet, had a high pitch exhaust tone.

Here are some pics of the damage to the ARTA NSX

I agree 100%, that #2 car sounded amazing! I wonder what kind of exhaust that car has? I sure would love to hear that scream every time I open the throttles :)

what an awesome experiance. I thought it was well worth the trip out from the east coast (along with the nice cali weather). It was amazing seeing so many NSXs in one place. Really put the other groups to shame.
You guys took some great photos. I'll need to grab some high res version so I can print them out.

I was standing in the grassy middle area of the track on the side where the car exit the oval part of the track during the Sat race. I think I'm starting to get my hearing back. Seeing the cars' rotoslight up orange as they slammed on the brakes for that turn was great.

I've uploaded a small video of some of the cars racing by on one of the Sunday races. U'll need DIVX to play it. It's not great quality. I've only been using divx encoding for about 10min now and i wanted to keep the file size down. For those of u that missed that race, this will give u and idea of what the cars sounded like. It's amazing how much quieter the turbo GT500 NSX was compared to the NA GT300 car. Here it is.

Well, I've started working on my pictures...and it's going to be awhile before I post them. But here are a couple to hold you over...
