Anyone going to spring mountain raceway this saturday? Must be a good drive and watch some of our friends go on the tracks.

Thanks to the combined influence of Chris, Tom, Lance, and a co-worker, I will be heading out to Spring Mountain for my very first DE, complete with helmet and blindfold. I'll be starting out from Green Valley around 6:15 on saturday, so if anyone is participating, we can hook up and drive there together. Gates open at 7am and drivers meeting starts at 8:15. Hope to see some of you car nuts there! Wish me luck.... Hey Lance, thanks a bunch for all your advice--- see ya //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I'm getting my track car back from the shop tonight, so I won't be driving in this event (next Sunday at SMMR w/SpeedVentures though! ). But I'll try to come out to show some support for Virgil and Lance!

I'm in for a last minute meet!
Where we going to meet and at what time tomorrow?

Have a fun and safe time everyone. Up here in Reno visiting my son.

Regards,

Danny.

ps The BMW/M5 forum is having a LARGE Vegas gathering next weekend. According to Sandy (New M5 owner), they will have a cruise on Saturday and a track event on Sunday. Anyone interested in the cruise? SO far over 125 rooms have been filled for their event so there will be many Ms around.

The cruise on Saturday sounds good to me. Anymore details on when and where to meet next weekend?

David

A cruise sounds like fun, but sadly, I'll be moving next weekend...

Oh yeah, Chris, I saw you driving up Blue Diamond around 10:30 AM, when I was on my way out of town...=)

Sorry, I'll be missing this one. I'll be driving in the SpeedVentures track-day event next Sunday. Lance is thinking about driving in this event next Sunday as well.

Edit: I went out to SMMR Sunday to watch the SCCA/Porsche group (VERY windy, wow). I got a couple shots of Lance driving on the track and some other cars as well. We stopped and had some coffee on the way back to LV. Virgil, sorry I missed you guys Saturday! Chris called me Saturday evening and said he had a GREAT time, watching the event and last-but-not-least driving your Dinan BMW around the track!

Hey Tom! I still felt your support on Saturday as I went through the exercises and negotiated the track. I learned so much about the physics of driving through Scott of the Porsche Club and of course through our very own Lance, a great instructor who was very patient with me. I finally got a taste of the wonderful world of speed through this well-organized event. I certainly wished I could have driven on Sunday too, but I had other commitments. I am looking forward to learning more and developing more skills-- not to mention developing a greater appreciation for what great cars can do!

Hey guys and gals,

The BMW MFest will be holding an impromptu car show at the Red Rock Casino surface parking lot (South Pavilion Center and Griffith Peak Dr) this Saturday between 1 pm to 5 pm. I am guessing there could over 100 M-cars and other marques at the gathering.

Come and show support for the NSX and bring some exotic iron (oops exotic alloy  ) to the gathering.

Hope to see you there.
Sandy
