Opinions on the KVR/AP Racing brakes

I'm looking to fit track-capable brakes and am currently leaning towards the KVR/AP Racing brake kit from SoS:

In my experinace AP Racing have a very good reputation, but I thought I should check with real life experiences of fellow NSX'ers who've gone down this path.

[Apologies if this has been covered in other threads, but the NSX prime search function is useless when looking for terms like "AP racing" ... all it finds is a gazillion posts with "racing" and it ignores any 2 or 3 letter acronyms and to make matters worse, as far as I can tell, there's no "match all words" search option ?! ]

In my experience, this is a great system for street and street/track use. I had it on one of my cars for around 3 years, and one of our customers has been running this system on his NSX for 6-7 years now with multiple track events per year - this car makes 475 whp. Excellent balance. The kit looks good on the car as well with the same diameter discs used. Keeping the factory caliper with the factory e-brake does well to keep the balance as well as cut down on cost and complexity of an additional aftermarket caliper.

Cheers,
-- Chris

Hey everyone did anyone ever solve the replacement part questions? I have found that both "Adamsrotors" and "racing brake" offer replacement rotor rings but I was unsure what the original spec from the KVR/AP kit was. I contacted KVR but Terry is no longer there who was the mastermind behind making this kit so perfect. if anyone has rotor specs it'd be much appreciate as I am selling off my kit and wanna make sure I give new owner all needed info in the event he ever needs to replace them.

I took my partial KVR kit to Stillen (http://www.stillen.com/products/brake-kits/-100207.html?osCsid=a0nkbkmd20s82ohelv1biv6qc2) and they were very helpful. The rotors and hats were made by Coleman Racing (http://www.colemanracing.com/Default.aspx). In fact the word coleman is cast inside the vanes on my rotors. In speaking with Coleman (also very helpful) they stated that they made different versions of this kit so the best way to get a replacement would be to send them a rotor so they could measure it. They keep a file on all their customers so you would just need to do this once. I have the price quote at home and will post it this evening.

The AP calipers can be purchased at a number of places. Stillen wanted $550 for one.

The caliper brackets are another story. If anyone knows of a source for these, please chime in. I only have one front and one rear and the rear does not fit my mounting holes (1994).

Thanks! Coleman knew exactly how to help, thanks for the heads up
