That's pretty optimistic, Hal

I think I might be up for that, if I could convince my girlfriend that she would have fun ... heh.

Hey man I'm looking at my calendar and wondering when I going to get some drive time. Too much longer and I'm going to get the shakes..

Ask your girlfriend what would be fun and let's see if we can work it in. How about the wine country, Silver Spring Falls or Hood to Coast in style?

Ok guys let's all think very positive.... say after me.... nothing but sunshine, .... think the sound of burning rubber... nothing but sunshine, think shifting from 2nd to 3rd.... nothing but sunshine... throaty roar..... nothing but sunshine...

there it's done. We'll have light clouds in the morning

and beautiful blue skies in the afternoon.

So where do we meet? What time works? Where do we go?

Well you're in one of the right places. I'd also join the NSX Club of America (NSXCA.
http://www.nsxca.com

A few of us belong to it as well. Another good site for NW guys is the Science of Speed run by Chris Willson.

What are you driving?

Checked PIR schedule and track time at PIR with the BMW club I think is starting next month.

Ok, looks like the optimism has set in ... heh.

Count me in. I will be in Lake Oswego this Saturday, so, that would certainly be a natural meeting place for you Hal.

My girlfriend definitely wants to go along for the ride, wherever we choose. I suppose I will have to bring up the rear as anyone with mods would likely blow me away

I will try to check in here for updates, my email listed gets me at home and at work also.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate now...

Latest reports say ...

Saturday
Mostly sunny...except areas of morning fog. Highs near 50. Light north wind.

Would like to hook up with you all, but I have plans at 11:30am that will last 2 hours. (pumpin iron) I know, my priorities are a little twisted.

If your still out and about mid afternoon I'll swing by.

We can meet in Lake Oswego at George Rogers Park located where State street/HWY43 and Stafford rd/McVey Ave intersect. If you come from 43 off of 205 DON'T speed as every time I drive through West Linn the local police escort me. For that matter in LO don't speed either. http://www.ci.oswego.or.us/engineer/maps/CITYMAP.HTM

Next question what time? And then how long do you guys want to drive?

Like I said we can do a couple of different drives.

1) Head to to Silverton Falls (long) http://www.silverfalls.org/Maps/way.htm
2) Head down 99 to McMinville, stop at some wineries, then cut back through Salem and blow back up 5 North. (2+ hrs drive time min.)
3) Head down into Stafford area and make our way out to Wilsonville road, cut down to Butteville head to Newberg and then follow the river back on Wilsonville road. (1 1/2 hrs)
4) Take 99 to Yamhill, 240 to Yamhill, 47 to Forest Grove, 8 to "The Reserve" golf course, from their we can a couple of different routes. (probably 2 1/2+ hours)

I have some other ideas beside these but just give me your feedback. What's important on the drive?

Who has radios so we can talk while crusin?

Mods for me are only attitude. My car is stock with the SportShift. I won't be dusting anyone I'm afraid.

He man the sun only shines every now and then this time of year. I cashed in a lot of positive mind power to get the sun to shine this saturday. The good thing about iron is it's still going to be there later when the sun isn't out. Do you have a trainer or thong or both calling you ?
wink.gif

Depending on what we do I can call you if you give me your cell number. Worse case I'll hook up with you later in the day. I'd like to check out your new paint job mods again.

True, true...

Nah, more like I'm the trainer, and I'm trying to be consistent and recover from a shoulder injury...meeting two workout partners for some heavy lifting.

I'll shoot you off a private email with cell phone #. Paint work looks really good, although I need a serious shine again...dealer forgot my request to not wash the car and gave it a bunch of scratch/swirl marks.

I need to avoid a hard country drive until I get it back in the shop. Ever since I had my new clutch re-initialized I've had a sound coming from the engine. I thought it was a throw-out bearing, but Morgan trouble shot it and thinks it's coming from the timing belt area...hmmm more $'s. I plan on getting it fixed in early Feb. In the mean time I drive it very little and mellow...good thing works only a mile away.

I am definitely in, and don't really care where we go. Sounds like morning fog, so afternoon would probably be best. I will email you my cell Hal, I am heading to Lake Oswego tonight and will be there all weekend.

There is also a Black NSX in my complex, and I have never met who drives it, I should leave them a message with this URL

Ok let's meet at 10:30 at George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego. Check my early post for the Lake Oswego map.

I say we either head to Silver Springs Falls for a picnic or we head into the wine country. I'll bring maps to both areas. See the map to Silver Springs in earlier post. I'm thinking we end around 2 or so. For those who want to do both rides I might be up for that as well.

Who has motorola radios?

The digital pictures I took from our drive to Silver Springs Falls are under the Picture Gallery.

We had a great time and hope the rest of you can make it the next time the sun decides to come out.
