Speedring Kart-racing

Guys, next month club meeting will be held at Speedring in Santa Clara.

We will have 2 session of kart racing. The total cost will be $40 for 12 or less people. If we have 22 - 24 the cost will be $50. This because we eill have 3 session for 12 best time people and 2 session for the other 10 or 12.

The registration is now close. I am submitting the name tomorrow morning to Speedring. No cancellation, unless there is replacements.

The cost is $50.

U don't need to pay/participate on the event to come. Anybody is welcome.
Only if u want to drive u need to pay.

Due to increase participant then previously thought. And a lot of recent addition. The schedule have major changes.

Be there at 10:45 am. People who show up late will not be able to drive. And this mean u lose your money.

Looks like there will be 3 session:

1st session (first 12 people), open practice.
1st session for the other 12 people, open practice.
2nd session (first 12), Qualifying
2nd session for the other 12 people, qualifying
3rd session for 12 people with the best lap time, Race!!
I've discussed the race with the speedring organizer a while back. They will try for us to have standing start. But they doubt it will happen. Most likely we will have roling start, which will be discuss during the lunch break.

1st session will be on 11:15 am. Everybody need to be there at 10:45am for briefing. this is mandatory from speedring. Late comers will not be able to drive!!!

the 2nd 1st session will be 11:45 pm.

Followed by lunch and discussion. There is salad and sandwiches from the
cafetaria (optional).

2nd Session (qualifying) at 12:30 pm, followed by 2nd qualifying at 12:45pm.

Race at 1:15pm !!

Cost is $50. (for people that sent me $40 already, u can pay me at the
track).

Andrie, what are the safety requirements for the karting? Helmets, gloves, driving suits?

They provide everything. Helmet, suit, glove, neck collar, and balaclava.

Just be sure u wear comfortable shoes, like sneakers.

what kind of karts are we driving? push start ones? I can never jump into those!!!
