Stereo display Error

When I turn on the stereo and try to listen CD, but it stocked and show Error on the display. I am not sure if the CD-changer is dead, because I still can listen the radio FM and AM.

Does anyone has the same problem as mine ? Please give little help here.

Once when I change CD1 to CD6 (which pressed Progam buttom) and suddent stocked and freezed....

I have had that same problem several times.
I took the cartridge out and put it back in and everything was fine.

I had this problem when I first bought my car. This may help. It worked for me. I had the CDE 2 code I think.
