Stock front wheels mounted on the rears?

I know this will sound crazy but I was wondering if the stock front wheels fit on the rears?
55 offset fronts versus 60 offsets rears.

If it does fit wouldnt it have an advantage in gearing equivalent to using a higher R&P, due to the smaller size.

The reason is that I have two sets of stock 15/16 wheels that I use to track. Thus mounting 15" sets fronts & 15" sets on the rear experimental setup.

Any comments/suggestions????

I recently saw someone had mounted rear wheels up front. If that will work, the opposite could also, but I am not sure.

Yes it should fit. the front hub bore is 70.1 and the rear is around 67 so you will need a hub centric ring, but other than that it should go on. As far as better performance, I feel you might gain a little accelleration from the smaller wheel size, but you will most probably suffer a greater traction problem with the smaller tire.
