list year of your car,
miles & year when you had your timing belt done first time,
miles & year you had it done the second time.

also, list if your timing belt broke at any point, miles & year.

I think this will help those of us who're bordering a second timing belt
replacement.

thanks y'all!

1994. First belt at 75,000 miles / 2000

Second belt REAL SOON NOW. LIKE TOMORROW. I gotta get that done.

First time: 2002 @46K miles
Second Time: Dec 2007 @ 118K miles

I would assume it would be every 7 years or 90K miles.

my 2000 manual claims no maintenance for 100k miles- i kinda disagree but then again, it is honda. anyone has an educated opinion on this?

The recommendation in the owner's manual and service manual is as follows:

'91-96 cars: 90,000 miles or 6 years, whichever comes first.
'97-05 cars: 105,000 miles or 7 years, whichever comes first.

mine was done at 80k when the motor was pulled.
Mine was done for the second time at ~65K when the motor was replaced. (It was a used engine, but a new timing belt was installed, also all the cooling system hoses were replaced, and so was the crankshaft pulley.) I would have done it within a year anyway.

My 1992 was first done in 1998 (car had 12k miles on it).
Second time was in 2005 (car had 42k miles on it). Hoses, belt, water pump, etc were all also done at that time.
