In the evening of March 17, 2000, I drove my brand new NSX-T off the dealership floor and parked it in my garage for the very first time...and, as you all know, I soon realized that "reality is better than the dream".

This past year has been especially sweet thanks to an amazing Prime Canyon drive, two autocrosses, my first NSXPO/track event, and my first mod. Life doesn't get much sweeter than this.

My car is now just a few hundred miles shy of 20,000 miles. Thanks to our office's recent move / improved parking situation, I'm back to commuting in my NSX on a semi-regular basis (yes, I drove her to work today), so I suspect I'll reach that milestone before the next Prime drive. If I wasn't so busy with work, I'd take a long drive today to celebrate.

I can't wait to see where my NSX will take me over the next 20K!

A happy day indeed! :D

Damn, nice story. Makes me wish I wasn't at work so I could go for a drive in my NSX! The weather is perfect today too..

Hi akira3d,

How time fly! I can't believe it's been 4 years.

I still remember seeing you for the first time at one of the monthly HB meets. I remember I said to someone, "I'll bet he is a new owner. Just check out that grin on his face!". I admire your strength to resist modding your car after all these years.

It is true that "Reality is better than the dream". I worried that that was it once I got it, but it turned out that it is more fun owning it than the excitement and anticipation when shopping for one.

Happy motoring!

Yeah, Chris...I remember how excited I was to attend those first NSXCA meetings. I had never seen so many NSXs in one place, so many different colors, and so many unique mods. I remember giving many in attendance their first peek at the perforated leather. At that time, I had no idea what to expect when I met other owners...what a treat that would turn out to be!

And, in a little more than a week, it will be four years since I registered on NSX Prime...

Akira3d -
Happy anniversary to you and your car!!:D :D :D :D

Happy fourth anniversary, Eric! I know you're probably just as passionate about your NSX now as you were when you first got it. I still remember you bought it at Acura of Pasadena, right by where I live. I've stopped counting anniversaries because I'm on my third NSX already! Looking forward to the next Prime Canyon drive with you and other NSXer's in June.:)

Eric,

I guess I must've missed this thread during the afternoon.

I'm sure your feelings about your car are typical of most NSX owners here. I know for sure that I feel the same way. Experiencing the car has been more satisfying then I could have ever imagined. Each day brings more and more enjoyment!!! And I'm coming up on my fifth year of ownership next month. :D

Congrats to you!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Now go drive that car some more!!!!

Actually, I'm probably more passionate about my car now than when it was new. I certainly have more reasons to be so.

I once said I'd never track my car, but I've since competed in autocrosses and attended a high performance driving school at Infineon Raceway.

I once said I'd never mod my car, but I added aftermarket anti-sway bars.

Of course, there are a few tweaks I'm pretty sure I'll eventually do (bigger rims, suspension mods, Wings West chin spoiler) and many more things I continue to say I'll never do (body kits, superchargers, turbochargers, wheel-to-wheel racing). In other words, my enthusiasm still has room to grow! :p
