Here's a one owner low mileage 1991 NSX, never been detailed (that's a positive?) and even has dual airbags. You can own this one of a kind car, all maintenance has been done. I have no interest and am not making a recommendation, in the sale of this car. I'm just posting it because with 2 airbags in a 1991 NSX it must have some real "collector value". I hope that you find this posting as amusing as I did.

I don't see the humor like you do, maybe you can clarify it for me? Some people don't like anyone else washing their car, so the fact that it's never been detailed may be a statement that no one else's hands have touched the paint. Not necessarily a bad thing, but yes a bit weird. As for the dual airbag statement, well he does have it listed correctly in the description, and sometime people make honest mistakes. I'm sure you have typed something by accident that had no negative meaning to it.

It always amazes me some people make a mountian out of a mole hill. There seems to be nothing wrong with the listing that you found. But then again, I don't trust anything on e-Bay.

I agree with Doc. It looks like the dual airbag was a typo. He just clicked the wrong box when he was listing it. The ones to watch out for are the single airbag cars with PICTURES of the dash which has dual airbags. Contact this guy about the car, I bet ya $100.00 he gives you a USA phone number to contact him at :)

sorry if I offended you

Not trying to make a mountain out of anything, it's just that I do detail all of my cars on a regular basis, and yes it could be an honest mistake, but E-bay has had a rash of fraud.

I don't get it...he says he only hand washed his car...

I only hand wash my cars too with Zaino wash and microfiber stuff. Why would I pay to get my cars detailed when I can do a better job myself

No argument, I guess that we've been seeing so many scams involving NSX's on e-bay that we've become accustomed to react with caution.

Btw, I never let anyone else wash/detail my NSX either. :)

The car seems legit.

I have my car detailed, but I choose a detailer that takes as much caution and time as I would. He does a great job. My car is an everyday driver, and this may be the difference.

I also do the detailing myself (9 times out of 10), except on my wife's car, she doesn't keep it clean so it's a major job, I let the pros do it. On the NSX and the daily driver, I'm on top of it so I wash and detail myself regularly. Still I think on a 13 year old car, it should have had more than just a hand wash. JMHO

Miracle Carwash on Federal and Glades does a great hand wash for $20.00 when you're feeling a little lazy or need a good wash in a hurry. That includes the interior.

To be fair, I'm sure it has. I don't personally fall into this category as I don't have anywhere NEAR the energy or desire, but most of the "do it yourself" guys I've met on this forum and on the Corvette Forum to a FAR better job than any pro detailer ever would since they put hours and hours and hours into it weekly.

It's pretty far beyond a basic wash too. Just the word "Zaino" takes you to a level a pro detailer will never reach what with that multi-step, multi-day process and all :p (flame suit on as the Zaino zealots turn on the fuel)

I hand-wash my car too...

...because taking it to the dry-cleaners costs too much.

(And they put starch in the collar.)

:drool

If this car was for sale when I was in the market to buy an NSX two years ago, I'd have jumped all over this.

This car was just two cars behind mine on the assembly line in Tochigi! Mine is #459, this one is #461. Cool!

When you wash your car, heck, when anything is done to your car the person should be wearing golves. Then you can say NO one's hands have ever touched your car.

I saw this exact NSX up for sale about a year ago, when I was still searching for one. I think it was on Autotrader, though. You'd think it would have sold by now.
