Here's the results of using Zaino on my car. It looks like a mirror and in fact I had just finished washing it. The water just rolled off and I hardly had to use a towel.

That looks amazing.. it looks like your windshield disappears into your car...
I'm going to put in my order for the
Zaino products in the next couple of
days... did you apply the Z-5 swirl
remover as well.. also... how many
applications did you use and how long
did it take for that mirror like finish?

Thanks,
Robert

Thanks I was pretty impressed with the results. Once a year I do full bore job on my car because I do drive my NSX all year around as my daily driver. Now that's at best maybe 6k miles a year but my car does see rain here in Portland.

I don't think you need to do the first 8 steps but once to you car. Any way here's what I did to use Zaino for the first time.

Saturday
--------
1. Washed with dawn.
2. Gave the NSX an acid bath with distilled vinegar.
3. Washed it with dawn again.
4. Used a clay bar with Zaino wash concentrate mixed with distilled water.
5. Washed yet again with dawn.
6. I then polished my car using a foam pad on a buffer with Mequiars body shop pro dual action cleaner/ polish. This is a medium cut.
7. Yes I washed again. I know beside being a wax freak I'm a wash freak.
8. Next I polished yet again with swirl free polish from Mequiars using a foam pad on a buffer. This is a light cut.
9. I know, I know... I washed again.
10. Then I applied Zaino Z1, polish lock.
11. Applied Z5. Waited for about an hour for it to dry and then removed it.
12. I then used Zaino Z6 gloss enhancer. This is cool stuff.
13. I then put the car cover on and relaxed.

Zaino states to wait at least 8 hours between applications and that was enough for one day. So the next morning I started again.

Sunday
------
1. Used Z6 gloss enhancer.
2. Applied Z5 and waited an hour before removing.
3. I then waited about 12 hours and then applied another cost of Z6 gloss enhancer.
4. Next I applied Z2, the show car polish, and waited again for about an hour before removing.
5. I then applied Z6 again.
6. Put my cover back on my car.

Monday I drove into work and when I came out later I noticed what looked like a light spray of tree sap on my car. You can image what went through my mind and home depot is across the street from where I work. I drove home and immediately washed my car. I was blown away. Literally the water wouldn't stay on my car. I'd use the Zaino wash concentrate and tried to get some suds to stick to the car. The suds would just fall off. Totally amazing.

I'm sold on Zaino and plan on adding coats every weekend I can. I heard someone else had 50 coats of Zaino on their car. I think this is going to be like the home run race. Who will break 70?

BTW I use 3 wash mits. One for the parts of the car the face up, one for side facing and one for sides that look at the street.

And I thought I was a fanatic.

If you get it any shinier you won't be able to see it because it will simply relect whatever is nearby!

18 steps is a lot, but the results show the work involved.

I am curious about the vinegar. I don't think I've heard of that before...??

I've used vinegar to remove hard water spots from glass but haven't tried it on paint until now. A Vette owner who uses Zaino told me to use it as he said the only downside to Zaino is that every flaw in the paint will show. He said even though he could not see any water spots on his car they came out after the first coat of Zaino. So since I was going to really start from scratch I decided not to take any chances.

So the method was to use a towel placed on area of the car. Pour the viegar on the towel and let it sit for about a minute. After that rinse that section of the car and dry it. You don't want any spots again do ya? I just repeated this process until I had the whole car done. It didn't take too long but the smell was something else.
