1991, Stock wheels (15/16") Bridgestone P S02 PP with stock pressure, REMUS exhaust (quite heavy and quite restrictive), no spare and no tools. All rest is stock. Ca. 1/5 tank gas. 1320 kg (2904 lbs) weighted after all 5 runs (without driver, 100 kg/220 lbs). Temp. about 22 deg.C or around 70 F. Humidity estimated to 80% (it rained between 1st and 2nd runs).

Run# 60' 660' km/h(MPH) 1320 km/h(MPH)

Comments:
1. False start and with Traction control on (rookie NSX mistake...). Car bogged down to 2700rpm right after TCS engaged.
2. No TCS this time, launch at 6000, hard wheel spin in 1st. Highest trap speed. 13's gave confidence....
3. better start. Launch at 4000, no wheel spin, bogged down to 2700 and took off. good shifting speed
4. 4500 launch rpm, but a slower 2-3 shift.
5. Same as 4, but slightly harder dump of clutch. Still no wheel spin and bogged fown to 3000. Best time of the day.

I left pretty happy, and the car just seemed to get faster and faster. I imagine with a perfect start (no bogging), 13.5 would be within reach, especially after looking at run#3 and 60' time of run#4. Speed shifting is not an option for me, because I'm too scared and unfamiliar with this technique.
The strip is fun, and there was 3500 people watching that day.
The NSX does have some great grip at the start.
On the same track, my ITR ran 14.85 with heavy tires and stock form.

Hi BITerR,

I see you are really enjoying your new toy :)
But don't you think this kind of driving will wear out your clutch very quickly.
BTW, you might want to take a look at the AP-22 acceleration-meter. It gives you the change to do any kind of measurements anytime you like.

Why do you say the remus is restrictive? I know its heavy not sure about the restrictive part..

Yeeeesss I'm enjoying my NSX!!
I look forwards to taking it out for a ride all the time.
It's like I look for excuses to drive it, even if I don't have to. Just like my fellow NSX'ers here on Prime have described earlier.

Yes, drag will wear the clutch a little more than "normal" cruising, but I didn't feather the clutch or do anything that I feel uncomfortable with. Any mechanical equipment should be handeled with respect and I intend to do so with my NSX.
I will not take it to the drag strip every weekend, but it sure is fun once in a while. 2 times a year or so should be ok.

NSX is fun fun fun .... and I own one.... jiiipiiiayyyeyyy.
I even took it out on a big parking lot to get used to power oversteer, like someone here suggested earlier, and I'm starting to feel "at one" with the car now. It's a part of me now!

I mean it's not as open as some other NSX exhausts. I-e. it's not loud and boomy (imo less restrictive), but it may well be better (free flow) than stock, I don't know. I just figured it didn't make me much more power over the stock system.
It looks great though.

BITeR,

I am very very very very sorry to say this but...

it looks like you are now a bonafide NSX-addict. I'm also sorry to say that there is no know cure for it ;)
From now on the NSX will be on your mind every single day.

Trust me, I know....
