Unofficial thread of NSX ENGINE BAY PICS

Thought I would add a few more. More work getting done this week so this will change soon. Having oem intake manifold painted red to match cover plate and just a little bit more blue.
Ha, you guys just are never done eh? I like the new plate! I would call dibs on the CF manifold cover, but I am pretty happy with my red one.

Here's a couple pics of mine. Added the CF Intake cover recently...

And showing off my new fender cover

This thread is great! Seemed worth bumping:

Credit for this really clean setup goes to the previous owner (CRUZRMM). Only thing I may do is change out the CT engine cover for the NSX-R mesh.

A better pic of the Bay with the newly powdercoated Valve Covers

Philip

Very nice, Phillip. I really like the machined finish on the aluminum pieces. I've seen the throttle body decorative plate before as you have. Where can I get that?!

My engine bay, while clean, is rather modest compared to some of the amazing things owners have done with their cars. While my "bling" budget is spent for this year, I still enjoy seeing what others have done with their NSX.

I really need to get my hands on some braided hoses and a polished coolant tank as the plastic one just looks cheap! That is probably the worst part of my engine bay right now :(

yellowhaze: Those braied lines and polished parts are so prettttyyy!

here's my engine bay now, what do you guys suggest next?

The engine bay I'm trying to aspire to.....is this from a 2002+ nsx?

You have a nice, classic NSX, s4play. You already have some nice parts on your engine. Replacing the OEM coolant tank with a polished billet one is the first thing I would do. Dali Racing is the only place I know that sells those. It is a practical part as it should last the life of the car. A SS hose kit and other goodies all depend on your budget and how far you want to go. I try to avoid chipping in any critical comments. However, since you asked, I am not a fan of lit engine bays in an NSX. Looks kinda lowrider-ish to me. If yours does not have auxillary lights installed, my apologies for assuming.

^^agreed.

I'd also lose the "#1 of 4 made" plaque. It looks like you're trying too hard to show off. Let the bay speak for itself without the monologue.

For some free bling, polish the alternator.

I did a minor revamp of my engine bay, didn't like how the colors clashed before.

Added an NSX-R coolant cover, some CF accents and red Samco hosing to get a more uniform look. Oh and the valve cover was powder coated white to keep it clean

enjoy

DAMNNN many engine bays to aspire to....hehe

May I ask where you guys buy some of this stuff? I love the chrome and red "windshield washer" fluid replacements!

If I wanted to get some parts polished/chromed out who do I see?

Looks like I could use some red Samco hoses too! Took me over 6 months to get my s2000 engine bay done right. Now I can concentrate on the nsx..

Help me out guys, can you tell me what companies manufactuer some of the chrome parts, etc?

Is this the GruppeM Kevlar Intake setup?

Also who makes the thick single STB? Do you lose the engine cover prop rod?

this is what I did with my s2000 engine bay:

and currently my stock NSX engine bay:

I LOVE the Spoonage on your S!!!

derekjon35: Thanks man, I'm working on buying my 4th s2000 and have even more plans for the next engine bay

I've redone my NSX engine bay however and added a NSX-R coolant cover, some red SAMCO hoses, and CF accents. Planning to replace the chrome STB with a Billet version soon :)

Great shot, its a shame that you have to cover it up with that targa storage compartment of yours.
