That was my car when I first bought it. And please do not call me a kid. Here are some pics of my car now.
One of the things I like best about my 1993 is the Manual steering. The only time I notice it is parallel parking. Otherwise it drives perfect and give you great road feel.
When I used to order the cars... you could order coupe or targa, and if it was a coupe you could order the roof in black or body colored straight from Honda motor corp. Looking back in time, I wish I was more creative!

The roof was already red when I got the car and yes I did get it from Tibor in queens. He was a nice guy.

Good luck with your search. We all end up with the NSX's we want. I'm very happy with my baby...1 of 57 Silverstone/Black in the lowest production year of our babies... :smile:
The Kaiser Silver Coupe for sale in the classified section of prime is priced well. It has higher mileage though.
For all of you who want to see how rare certain NSX's are look at the Wiki or search for Prime user Ben. He did a post somewhere detailing the rare cars and its surprising which colors and models are the rarest. For example Imola Orange Pearl cars are rarer than Zanardi's....less were made and quite a few have been crashed.

That car in your link is clearly described as a T..not a coupe.
Toth brothers aka EZR cars is/was a salvage yard. The car had a salvage title and also if your car had 18k on the odometer it's been rolled back/gauge cluster replaced because it had....

I don't know, what's a mystery year NSX, with mystery miles, with mismatched VIN, salvaged title and parts from multiple cars worth? Certainly not the $35k he was asking in 2007.
My 2000 doesn't have the blue line on the bottom of the water temp (it's white). Anyone know what year they stopped putting the blue line?

That cluster is an early one. I think in 93 they changed over- no blue hash mark on the coolant temp.
I don't know anything about NSX trader or if gauge was rolled back. All the paper work is good on the car, and was not a savage title. Its officially a 1998 and the right engine and all. Also the temp line is white. I recently had a major service done at daisy auto who knows the NSX from top to bottom and said my car is great. So if the car has a bad story, it is what it is but the car is in my possession now, runs like a champ, and I'm very happy with it.

It's not officially a 1998 coupe though (except officially by fraud), it's a 91-92 with a 98 interior (including the dash with VIN) and other parts and true mileage is closer to 100,000 now. Having an older coupe with the 3.2L, 6 speed and new interior isn't such a bad thing. Passing it off as a 1998 coupe with a clean title and different VIN - well that's something the Toths have been known to do and not such a nice thing. They closed up shop and moved to FL - http://www.alltypeauto.com/. As you can see from their website inventory, they are fond of NSXs (all of which are rebuilds or have salvaged titles).
However, it's a beautiful car, enjoy it.

Now I'm NOT saying I believe you or anything, but you're trying to tell me that my car is actually a 1993 with the motor, brakes, suspension, and interior of a 1998, and that this group did all this and could make profit off of it. The first thing I did when I got my car was I to take it to Frankel Acura in Towson, MD to give the car fresh fluids and make sure all was good and I drove for about 7000 miles like that. Then recently I took it to a NSX specialist at Daisy auto who did a major service on my car, both the mechanics loved my car so much that they asked me to call them if I ever want to sell. So your saying that this car was faked so well as to fool everyone? To go through all that trouble. I don't see how its worth it. But with all honesty. If all this is true. For the way I enjoy the car, racking up miles everyday, and with what I paid for it and also what I added to the car with wheels, exhaust exc...... I AM THE HAPPIEST GUY IN THE WORLD AND LOVE MY CAR.

But yes, the car is a 91 or 92 and yes, when you take two salvaged cars (they were a salvage yard) you can make one decent one - especially when you sell it as a 1998 with 16,000 miles for ~ $35k. And for the record, unless an Acura dealer or shop was specifically looking they wouldn't notice if the car was a Frankenstein. The mechanicals of a 91 to a 98 are that similar that if you weren't specifically looking for it, you would over look them. Now if you take it back to them and ask them to check, I guarantee they will find some things in about 5 minutes that aren't kosher.
For example, go lift the front hood.
Does it look like this with three reservoirs? (master, ABS and clutch). Specifically, does it have the ABS reservoir that in the picture he is using a Turkey baster?

The second Gen ABS was only on 2001 and up. even a 2000 has the old "three reservoirs" setup. A '98 would have this setup as well.
Funny, I wonder how many of us ran out to the garage to check out our temp gauge for the blue line. I never noticed that b4.

No, my 2000 only has the one master reservoir, no ABS reservoir. After further research the new ABS is 2000+.
Let's see what other misc things should a 1998 have that a 91 would be different? Rear sway bar was smaller on the 91s, cats are a different shape, battery tray.

TOO BAD. I don't think your understanding me. I am happy and have no regrets what so ever. Almost 3 years of enjoyment with the car and all I,m sure anyone else in my position really wouldn't care unless I wanted to sell the car and make profit on it, which I don't. All that matters to me on a car is how it looks, how it drives, and if I can legally own it and drive with no problems.......I have nothing left to say...........
