Bored!!!!

Yeah, my friend who is fit as fiddle got one. If he can get one, then it's as good as legal.

Vegas is has it's pros and cons over Cali. We have a lot more freedom, after all, it is Sin City. What would you expect from an area where prostitution is legal and we have no state income tax? We don't have an oppressive police force like Cali, especially when it comes to cars. I won't even drive my car into Cali in fear of it being impounded. However, there is no culture in Vegas and it is extremely superficial. The crime in certain areas can be bad and overall it's not a very pretty or friendly city. Oh and then there's a thing about the heat....

"Thinking" of moving to Vegas is all it would ever be. I love living in SoCal. We have some negitives, traffic, anal cops and so on but the positives totally out way the negitives. Beaches, mountains, rivers, lakes, deserts all no more than a couple of hours away and being an outdoor person it does not get any better:biggrin: and then there is the weather:smile:.

Anyways it is almost 5:00, have a good evening and hope tomorrow is not so boring for you, although this is a great thread you started:biggrin:

I retired about 5 years ago and after traveling, building my car, riding my Beemer, shooting clay birds, whitewater rafting, etc. (all the things that excite me - women are fun but I've been married for 34 years and none of them are worth half-my-stuff), boredom became an issue. Then one of my old hippie freinds gave me some sage advice. He said, "If there's nothing to do, just don't do it." The more I think about that statement the more it makes me laugh. Boredom still comes, but after 5 years chillin gets easier.
Happy Motoring!

Great advise pg!

You guys bored today? How about posting some interesting links of topics/or essays or pics from interesting sites?

Still sooooo bored! Here's a picture of the heat I pack. The smallest and largest guns Glock makes. Glock 21 (.45) on top, Glock 26 (9mm) on bottom. The 21 is for the home and has a mounted laser and flashlight. The 26 is my concealed carry.

That's cute B, spooning Glocks.

Take a road trip in India...if you come back alive....you will never be bored. Believe me. I am saying it from my personal experience.

Recently got a motorcycle just to do something else....

My next goal is road trip on two wheels. Death wish!

You copy-cat you. These are sitting on my desk as we speak, tach light and all, except my carry is a model 27 though not 26 (like the punch of a 45) ....and newest is a 380 Diamond Back, which looks like a mini Glock.

Ditto. You may not be able to rapid fire the black S&W, however, it will never jam when you really need it. And besides, you can always play Russian Roulette with that one if you get bored. (getting back on the thread)

I disagree. Revolvers are actually very sensitive to dirt and grit. Some sand in the cylinder mechanism will easily jam the revolver and make the gun useless.

The cylinder mechanism work great under ideal situations, but throw it in mud, sand, dirt, it will jam quicker than a sandwich.

There was a long writeup awhile back by a guy who survived upheaval in one of the latin American countries, and he wrote a long piece on why during SHTF times you need a semi-auto like the Glock, because revolvers don't deal well with dirt and easily seize up.
