Ramon (Niguel Motors) does all the work on my car, great guy, you can't go wrong and he is fair with his pricing.

Mario

PS: He is an NSX owner, as is Tom at the shop.

I don't know what TB/WP means. I have only gone to Ramon's Niguel Motors. He's a great mechanic and I like him. I like going to his shop and talking to him and Tom. Will be going there soon for an oil change.

I've been friends with both Tom and Ramon for well over 10 years now, and I know they do great work.

I've also recently met the AutoWave guys and had them help me with a few things.

I don't think you can go wrong at either location.

AutoWave does have a slightly larger shop which may help in scheduling, but they also charge a bit more than Niguel.

Both provide quality work. Get a quote and a time frame from each, then decide. Logistics is also a factor as Gil said. Although, I drive 60 miles to use Ramon.

Ramons great. He is a little dude that can fit in those hard to get places lol. I trust him 100 percent.... Even if he cant see over my steering wheel ;)

Ramon at Niguel has taken care of me

+1

I'm due for an oil change shortly also. So I'll be seeing them soon.

+1 on all the above.

I live in Fountain Valley (next door to HB) and still go to Niguel Motors.

This kinda says it all.

Sorry i had to vote for us:biggrin: all I can say is that you get what you pay for. We may be higher in price but we believe in doing a complete job an not so much a cheap job. We are guilty of doing a complete job this is why we are more. Everyone that likes the other guy the first comments are how good the prices are.

We are capable in doing everything from simple oil changes to complete 1000whp nsx performance stuff"engine builds trans builds ect". We are direct with every vendor in the industry and have been in business for going on 27 years. Our shop has 8 lifts in it with a dyno. Working on nsx takes time due to the fact that parts are not always immediately available. What does that mean to you? We have plenty of space when your car is being worked on that in the case you need something extra while your car is taken apart, we are not stressed because your car is tying up one of our lifts. In the automotive buisness lifts are what make you money if you do not have an available lift you tend not to get those extra parts to get the job done correctly. This is not the case for us as we have 8 lifts and try to stock almost everything that is needed for the nsx

^Not me. I never mentioned Ramon's price. I've never been to AutoWave. I am only 10 miles from Ramon's shop and I like him. That's all. I went there today as a matter of fact, after seeing this thread which reminded me that I needed an oil change.

Oh, and thank you for the explanation nsxtasy. Still loving my blue hottie that you generously checked out for me the day I bought it in Chicago.

Mike your being too defensive and your interpretation of what has been said is in error. Only two posts mention price and the word cheap is not mentioned once. Only "fair pricing" and "a little bit more" is all that is mentioned. In addition, your apprent implication that Ramon does inferior "cheap" work is unfair. Ramon is likely less expensive because he does not have the overhead that you have. Which has nothing to do with quality. And before you flame me, make sure you read my other post that gives both you and Ramon cudos for competence.

I'm about 60 miles ONE WAY to Niguel Motors and I STILL go to Ramon no matter the issue (TB, WP, oil change, installs, fixes, etc). A well trusted guy and FRIEND. Someone that I can go out and have coffee with is someone I would let work on my car. Haven't gone to anyone else cause really there isn't any need to if my car gets babied by Ramon as much as I baby my NSX. No matter how low my car is, I still got love for Ramon and Tom. You guys make my life that much more enjoyable having a running NSX in tip top shape. THank you guys! I don't know if this is a testimonial, but I'm just stating my opinion.

I have not posted in a very, very long time but I do check NSXprime quite often. When I saw this post I needed to provide my personal experience with someone I trust completely.

I have been a customer of Niguel Motors for years. Like many other NSX owners I too drive over 50 miles one way to take my beloved NSX to Ramon and Tom. I like the service, I like the guys who are funny and always professional, and honestly every time I go to Niguel motors I am treated like a friend. This to me is PRICELESS.

Well Said!!

Has anyone noticed how one shop feels the need to defend themselves? The other lets their customers speak for them and that says a lot about both shops. And one finds the need to bad mouth the other while the other never has. That shows about the integrity of one shop versus the other.

BTW The poll speaks for itself.

So far it sounds like one place is a company/retail type of environment while the other is a neighbor/friend kinda atmosphere where your treated the old fashion way and where u can kick back and talk to your mechanic and don't feel like your a number..is that what it boils down to?
