What's the point of a separate forum if there's only going to be one thread?
What's the point of dozens of identical threads that each have the same press photos of the auto show and have the identical limited info released at the auto show by Acura?
The point is certain users chose, for whatever reason, to create a new thread. No harm, no foul. The more worthy threads will flourish and others will fade away, to be determined by the readers of that forum.
Merging them all together is a confusing solution where no real problem exists.
On a side note, I have no interest in any "non- NSX 2.0" threads right now. haha

+1 That would be really confusing. These small threads will die at one point.

Folks here have been re hashing the same stuff over and over, because there is nothing new under the sun for a car that had little unchanged for 15 years and was discontinued 7 years ago.
Cut them a little slack. There are plenty of site sites for you if you just want to socialize and talk about which wheels to get.
Try to remember how exciting it was at one time for you and show some manners. Stop the cursing complaints. Please!

Ha! when by the time we reach 25 threads in the same week, of the same subject, and you are completely lost because the 2 or 3 main threats (that were very consistent and intelligent) are lost ... then you might agree with me, this is madness!

Actually, in Off Topic that is exactly what I do with multiple threads. They all get merged into one so the topic is easier to follow. I can understand and appreciate the excitement over the possibility of another "NSX" (but as an aside I will believe it when I see it - remember our talks in Japan with Honda during NSX Fiesta?), but in all honesty I find it distracting and "annoying" to have to cull through so many identical threads to find the one or two posts that are well written and are worth reading.
As of right now, with so many threads I have no interest in reading all of them since they all essentially announce "NSX 2.0", have the same press photos (except for Mitch), use the same press releases and are devoid of any facts about power, interior, etc. since none of that has been released by Acura/Honda yet. Several of the threads do contain a handful of interesting posts but most say nothing more than "I love it" or "I can't wait 3 years", etc.
Given the fact that the level of enthusiasm is in inverse proportion to the actual confirmed facts/details about the car, redundancy rules the day and the more "meritorious" posts that deserve attention and comments are lost in the shuffle.
I can see the use for multiple threads but I think it would be easier to follow/comment if they were broken down into various NSX 2.0 topics such as:
1. Detroit Auto Show - photos and press releases
2. What is your opinion of the design of the new body?
3. What is your opinion of the intended hybrid character of the car?
4. The "I love the car but I want to modify it already" photochop/premature modification thread
5. A polling thread to gauge how serious our members are about buying it in various price ranges versus keeping their "old ones"
I don't know if they all exist but at one point there were "hey, did you know there is was a new nsx unveiled in detroit"-esque threads several times in the "proper" forum, in Off Topic, in SoCal and in Canada in addition to at least 5 threads about the "preview" in Gran Turismo. It makes for better "conversation" if there is consolidation given the current situation where we see some members post the same comments in each of the threads. I think I have seen the photochopped "colorization" of the concept car in approximately 7 different threads in addition to its own specific thread.
But that's just my opinion and if people have enough time on their hands to read through many threads on the same topic looking for a "meaningful" response then more power to them.

Yes, on many if not most topics.
That's why I rarely open most topics (except for my "need" to keep on eye on Off Topic). If you only saw what gets deleted from OT before the "public" has a chance to see those threads.........
