Fayetteville NC NSX's

If there is anyone in the area I could use a hand.
Took out my old trans/clutch out of the Full-Race 07 Si for an upgraded mFactory Gearbox and Exedy Twin-Disk....
Having trouble getting the input shaft realigned on the new trans into the clutch by myself.

Sucking basically k/tcr

Sorry man, missed this one.. on vacation.

Hey guys,

Just got my 91 NSX a few weeks ago .. I'm trying to make it to Raleigh C&C this Sat but its still up in the air.

I've been to the Fay C&C on the second Sat and there were a couple of cool cars... Twin Charged New Mustang, Rat Rods, nice Vettes and a few descent Hondas.
I will never drive the X on Skibo either!

The town I live in St. Paul's has a "Cruise In" every 2nd Sat evening (5-8ish) for mostly classic muscle cars and it is a great crowd.
Another Lumberton NSX owner regularly makes it out .. it'd be cool to get the locals to come down and have a strong NSX showing.

Tyler, since when have you been in the market for an NA1? lol. I had no idea.

I'll be looking for an NA2 once I get back from the "Stan" (again), assuming all plays out right.

You know you own a rare car when the owner of the bike shop sees your car and asks, "Do you know Steve?"

Hahaha that's awesome, I had to take the car to the dealer and stopped by to pick up my bike on the way home... They were a little dumbfounded at first till I broke out the sea suckers

do you ride road bikes? If so give me a shout, I'm always doing local group rides.

Weather permitting is anyone planning on checking out the Fay C&C this Sat?

Hey Mike,
The NA1 purchase was a accumulation of alot of different factors ..
Shortly after the s2000 was gone I searched casually for a few weeks and this Formula Red NA1 popped up on consignment in Raleigh.
Long story short it was posted for sale on a Wed, called them Thursday, Drove up Friday and checked it out .. put a deposit down and came back Saturday with the balance and took delivery! Hah
It was a bit of a shotgun purchase but when the wife says "Yeah go ahead and get it" you don't drag your feet and wait for her to change her mind!

I do, will not be able to make it till the tail end because of other stuff I have going on that morning but I'm going to make a real effort.

Steve: I ride mountain when I can. I've already built my Monterey commuter bike too, it's a cheapo Diamondback with an on-call 52V electric tailwind to maintain good speed on hills and arrive at work less sweaty.

I plan on being at the Fv C&C this sat, see you guys there hopefully.

Forecast is looking gruesome .. playing it by ear for tomorrow morning at this point.

I'm here. It's just a little rain dudes, don't be skeered.

Good to see you out there Steve, if but for a minute. Great to put a face to a name.

Definitely, you too man.

Just had a buddy out by Buffalo Lakes area just shoot me a picture of you car a few seconds ago. "D you know this guy?"

lol. I was desperate for fuel yesterday before I went out to the range and stopped at the Kangaroo by my house.
"Do you know Paul?"
"My buddy went inside because he knows the owner (of the car)"
"That must be a 2011 or so because I've never seen one before. 1991? That's when I was born!"
"How fast have you gotten it up to?"

I hate that last one. As if I bought this car just to play NFS-U in real life. I just say "80" and revel in the surprised looks.

My favorite is "how much you pay for that thing?"

Right on. Congrats on your new addition to the family :)

On another note, placed an order with RedShift last week for one of their "custom" double-adjustable Koni coilover setups for the FG (w/ 500/900lb/in. spings). Interested to see if they hold up to Chris' (and everyone else's) uber-performance claims once I get a chance to put them in.

I swear, I get that last question all the time. I tell them it can only hit 80. Surprised / disappointed looks are an understatement

on a sadder note, my application to go to bragg was turned down =(

Congrats Mike! I took mine with me to CA, and Steve has sold his. There are only a handful in the area now that I know of.

Quite the bump I'm making here, but...

Everything worked out obtaining my NA2. (1998 Kaiser Coupe - eg. non-targa) So we have another to add to the f-ville area.

Car is in CA, and I'm on my way back from AFG. I'll drive the car back once I make it to the states next week.

Someone in NC bought the kaiser silver coupe???!!! You don't even know how excited I am that I may get to see it in person/jealous I am that I didn't get to buy it!

I almost posted my car for sale several times to try and acquire that car, but finances just weren't there due to recently getting engaged. That is 1 of 5 kaiser silver NA2 coupes made for the US and is the perfect NSX in my eyes. Congrats!

Wow... So now there's, what... 2? 3? (K20fg, myself, and... ??)

Lol. I'm well aware of its rarity good sir. Having said that, I'm just as excited as you are :)

Once I saw that car, I made him an offer immediately that I thought would stick. Thankfully, it stuck, and I can now call it mine.

Now, here's to crossing my fingers that all the research, inspections, and documentation doesn't let me down and leave the car stranded on the way back. ;)

Good question. You, K20fg, Jerry (white one, owns Extreme Soundz), and a red fixie conversion. I saw a red one in a driveway in Lumberton one time when I was lost, so maybe 5 total?
Hey Mike! I actual tried to call your phone this weekend but it wasn't accepting calls in yet. Really happy for you and that cross country drive will be epic. Let me know if you plan to hit US129 or Moonshine28, I need an excuse to get over their this summer.

Did your Koni DAs come in yet for the FG?

Yeah their are 3 NSXs in lumberton, Jerrys white one and another gentleman who owns a Ford GT has two I believe.

We should get a strong Millstone Cars and Coffee NSX showing put on the calendar in July or August!

kcco,
Tyler

Hey Tyler - Yea, still haven't made it home yet, so my phone is still suspended. (Will be active again on the 27th - Same number.) Though I won't be home until the 30th, and then headed out again on the 2nd to pick up the car.

Bought a new lens with fisheye converter to add to the handful of others I have for my Sony NEX5 camera, along with a new GoPro (as I couldn't remember if my original is easily accessible, or currently in storage), so I'll have plenty of pictures and videos to share with everyone of several key places like: Angeles Crest higway, Vegas, Aspen, the Grand Canyon, US-28/US-129 (Tail of the Dragon), and etc. So long as nothing happens to my schedule, I'll be at the Dragon on the 8th of July, and will continue on to Charlotte, likely around lunch time, on the 9th. Feel free to meet us/stay the night if you want! (And by "Us", I mean Greg Porter and myself.)

Don't forget that all the old 8th gen "heads" (Santiago, Greg Porter, Berdonfat (Brandon Brown), Dan Hale, Mattsbobo (Matt Kushner), Mr. & Mrs. Rotrax, E.T. & wife, Webby, etc etc etc) now go with the 9th gen crowd these days. Their event will be 17-20 Sept this year. I plan to join them.

As far as the "custom" Koni setup for the Civic, yea, it is FINALLY finished! Was delivered a couple weeks ago. Even though it was hugely late getting to me (by oh, about 8 months), I've got nothing but good things to say about Chris Shenefield... That guy really knows the value of "Customer Assistance".
