McDork's Silver NSX-R inspired.

Got to love how this person got rid of the side markers and even the keyholes. I wonder if he can delete some more stuff. The little gas door on the back fender? Ooo and maybe the round circles on the front bumper that gain access to bolts to take the bumper off?

I think someone has a car on here w/ the gas door deleted.

what happened to the blitz?
They're still in the garage Doc. I really needed to get them out of my system. I'm thinking of selling them, but I'm not in a rush to do so.

Looks great. Any issues ever without side markers?
Thanks as always Dave. Nope never had a problem and have only ever had one non NSX person notice. When he did notice my car was next to my fathers.
I guess it could be an issue at night but the the paint color is almost like a giant reflector so I've never been too worried.

Always one of my favorites on prime
Thanks as always I appreciate your feedback. Hope the p-car is treating you well. It looks beautiful.

Love the no side markers. It just makes it look so much cleaner
Thanks everyone who sees the car generally uses the word clean and I'm happy that I had them removed.

You know I hadn't even thought about shaving anything else. When I did the car I just did the things that bothered me, the side markers, door locks, antenna, and washer nozzles. The other thing I wanted to do was get rid of the door mount mirrors and mount them on the front door triangle piece. However, at the time there were no good, stockish looking mirrors available. So if I keep the car for a long time maybe I'll redo it again sometime down the road.

This is one of my favorite NSX's on NSXPrime!!! It would be great if we could to do a photo shoot together.

Mike

Mike thank you so much for the support. I'd love to do a photo shoot with your car. Heck I'd love to just see your car. If there is ever another nsxpo at Laguna Seca I'm in. It's on my bucket list.

hahahaah.......was my jealousy that obvious:redface: although on the brighter side we did have juice:biggrin:

Those brakes look 100% better now that they are NOT red. :)
Thanks I never thought to paint them another color until you pointed it out. I thought red calipers were so cool ever since I did it to my silver rabbit gti in high school.
I also upgraded the rear calipers to '97 up larger calipers and did the racing brake over sized rotor kit, so I could keep these wheels.

Car looks gorgeous. One of my favorite as well!!
Thanks I sure do appreciate the kind words. Every time I have thoughts of redoing my car I think of you and my father in law. He has an old Nova that he has repainted a half dozen times over the years.

LOVE this car. You and dad going to NSXPO? We need another roundtable of madness.

And Doc can sit at the next table jealous of all the fun we are having again.

No the old man and I aren't going to make it this year. So someone else will have to step up for the biggest jackass award.
If it's held in Ohio next year I'll probably make it and will limit myself to one flask:wink:

I love the hell out of this thread:) Your car is so clean, I really want to do the 02+ update. Great job!
Thank you very much. I dunno about the '02 update as I think your car looks great. I kind of got caught up in the whole NSX R look and that's why I did it. However, after having the bug eyes for five years, I'm starting to have more of an appreciation for a stock pre '02.

NO..... say it isn't so!!!! One of my favorite NSX's

Mike

This year the car is attending Ebay instead of NSXPO.

Thanks all its been fun!
WTF!?!?! WHY!?!?! This car is too clean/modified for someone to just "buy" as is without putting in the work you did to get it where it is.

I hope you're very proud of what you've created, top 3 NSX's on Prime. This is probably my favorite car on Prime.

Edit:
Just read the ENTIRE ebay ad...
Why on earth would you modify a car like this and then sell it? Well I’m a crazy fool and I enjoy projects and all the work getting to the end result. However, once completed it just gets to a point where all I do is clean the damn car, which I don’t enjoy all that much.
Man, keep your car. This car belongs to you, no one else should have it besides your kids if you have any. You've put a lot of work into it, I'd hate to see some idiot with enough money buy it & treat it like shit. Stop cleaning it & drive it lol. Maybe you should drive it to NSXPO, you might fall back in love with it.

Mike,
Thank you very much for all of the compliments over the years. I truly appreciate them and am a huge fan of your absolutely incredible car.

Brooklyn, I have to say the same thing that I just wrote to Mike. Thank you very much for all of the compliments over the years. I truly appreciate them and am a huge fan of your absolutely incredible car. I've been mulling this decision over for a year of so now and I guess you just know when it's time to move on. It's time for someone else to have a hell of a lot of fun with this car. It's difficult for me to part with it because it's more than a car to me. I probably love this car like people love their dogs, but I'm crazy like that. For the last few years I just don't really use it or have any work to do on it and for whatever reason the thrill is gone. Maybe a mid-life crisis brewing or I'm getting too old to be as much of a nut job as I was when I got this car. Let alone when I took it apart when my wife was 3 months pregnant with our first. LOL! Like many many others before me, I never thought I would ever even have a thought of selling it. In fact it sort of cracks me up when I see people post that they will never sell and I was without a doubt 100% that guy. With age comes wisdom not necessarily maturity.

Stumbled across this on ebay a few days back. Very sad day. On the other hand, someone's gonna really happy on their drive home. I sure would.

Its been my pleasure to compliment & admire such great work over the years, thanks for the compliment as well. I can respect your reasoning, when its time its time. If I had the money & space I'd buy the car from you in a heartbeat, its perfect :(. You have to put in writing to whoever buys the car that they have to join Prime & post pics of the car at least every 3-4 months lol.

I'm one of those "I'll never sell her" guys lol. I really only drive mine on Sundays or quick trips to the gym now, sometime I'll take it out to drop my daughter to school in the morning once I get tired of her bugging me lol. 80% of my time spent with the car is sitting in it in my garage thinking/brainstorming. Its where I go to focus, think & relax, its very therapeutic. I'll have her 10 years next year, she's literally apart of the family.

I hope you show your face around here every once in a while & post whatever new project you start. I know it'll end up a work of art like your NSX.

Well I guess it's only appropriate to bring this to a close. The car was sold in Oct to a gentleman in Tucson, AZ. He was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to deal with and it made what was an emotional event for me a whole lot easier. I'm one of those weirdo's that gets very attached to cars (I cried when my Dad sold his Model A Ford when I was 5yo :frown:).

These are the last pics from my stewardship. Yep, open carrier, but the driver was incredible and it was delivered without any issues what so ever.

Awesome build overall and congrats on the sale. I have always loved your car!!

This ^^ actually makes me laugh!! I have owned my original NSX 12 years and now my third for the last year and am also considering selling both (yes my Lime green as well).

No specific reason, just have done so many mods/builds on them I almost wouldn't mind venturing into a new project overall (even though I have quite a few other cars, hot rods, muscle cars, now as well etc).

Needless to say I NEVER EVER thought I would be considering parting with them...

Thanks Sir. I sold two cars this year that I never thought I would in my life, but life happens and things change. I wasn't in a situation where I had to sell them. It was on my own terms and now I'm onto different projects. Your car has been very fun to follow, over the years, and I appreciate your sharing.

Chris. I'm glad to hear that you found a great new owner for your incredible NSX. Although, I'm sorry to hear you are no longer an NSX owner. It was great to see your vision of what you wanted your NSX to become unfold on NSXPrime, definitely your NSX is one of my favorites. I hope that you will visit NSXPrime to keep current with what's going on and maybe post a reply or two.

Mike,
Thank you very much. I greatly appreciate all of your compliments over the years. However, docjohn is correct about not being nsxless. I got pulled back into the nsxvortex.
Thanks again,
Chris
