    Boost and VVIS

Some older cars that are carb'd with vacuum controlled distributor advance are configured this way, some with advance routed to manifold - depending on how they wanted to change the advance on/off throttle. It's really not just a Wankel specific thing, it's just a matter of "need a vacuum...

    Boost and VVIS

You will of course see vacuum with a compressor further up the chain. Read my paragraph above on how we control the oil injection meter valves on the 13B engine. It's the exact same routing. They use vacuum (and progressively more when on-boost) to control the oil injectors.

    Boost and VVIS

kpond, The bypass valve you speak of is most likely located between the compressor side and the throttle body plates. What I referred to was BEFORE the compressor side (right after the air filter). sjs, I see where you are headed, and you are correct on that. What I was saying was wrong. But...

    Boost and VVIS

Your car has to idle right? ;) You will most definitely get vacuum there. Pre-compressor, all you will see is vacuum, which is exactly what one wants in this situation.

Tuning CTSC on the dyno ?

Stock is 240 cc?! That strikes me as being very small. The Comptech kit is obviously using a primitive form of fuel control driven by manifold pressure, as you helped point out. I wouldn't think twice about upgrading to larger fuel pump, injectors, and AEM EMS or similar if I had one.

    periodic bogging

If it's a continual issue that will not go away, coils and plugs are okay, and you drive the car regularly, I would start to look at the O2 sensor - especially if you can immediately make the hesitation go away by going to full throttle (the O2 sensor is not listened to while at full throttle -...

    stupid question, DIY common sense

NO. You are fine! Oil is distributed throughout the entire engine via small bored out tunnels in the block and cylinder head called oil passages. When you turn the car on, the oil pump, driven by the engine pumps oil from the sump (pan) to the rest of the engine. This is how you circulate oil...

Anything special about the underside of the NSX?

I guess I should have read the NSX-R article to see that they increased the downforce at the rear by utilizing a larger spoiler. Perhaps continuning their research on the rear under-tray section would have resulted in more gains than just jacking up the rear spoiler size... Cost perhaps...

Anything special about the underside of the NSX?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't only using a front under-tray result in increased low-pressure zone under the front followed by a high-pressure zone in the rear (due to the lack of under-tray) ? Since the under-tray would effectively be increasing the air-flow velocity by reducing...

    turbo vs. supercharger

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but has anyone actually metered the flow through the external airflow path entry and exit? While it's ram-effect in nature, it also appears to have a lot of high pressure zones behind the I/C exit due to the very close proximity of the manifold. This obviously...

Factor X Upraded CTSC, AEM, 440cc...

MoTec, The best hands down, but it just costs so damn much. I am very surprised that Apex'I hasn't jumped into the fray with a Power FC application for the C30A/C32B.
