To Mitch, regarding selling my Lamborghini
What made me decide to move to an Acura NSX from a Lamborghini?
The Lamborghini Countach was my childhood dream car as well. I graduated high school in 1988 and desparately wanted an '88 Countach. I couldn't get rid of the bug for 10 years until I...
To PHOEN$X
I have plenty of stories about the Countach, which unfortunately, I have since sold and replaced with my NSX. I posted a couple more pictures at this thread:

Although I know it is not really...
All real and original, except for the wheels. The previous owner put '89 rims on an '88 body. The wheels are also real, but the fact that they don't match the correct model year always bugged me. It was a real nightmare to take care of. It spent a good portion of its life in the repair shop and...
Talk about no ground clearance
I used to make it up and down my parent's driveway in this thing! Never scraped the front end once. Notice the angle I take the car on. Although the picture's not that clear, those curbs are about 4"-5" high.
Sold my Lamborghini
I sold my 1988 Lamborghini Countach.
Of course, I had some extra change left over....
Not too many regrets, but I do miss the attention that my old car brought.
How ironic!
I thought we went to school in order to GET cars like these, not GET RID of them!
I got a lousy 1988 Ford Probe GT for my high school graduation. Of course, that was back in 1988 when Ford Probes were cool new cars. I wouldn't have even gotten rid of my old Probe to continue going...
Luckily, yes!
The car with the Jiffy Lube seized engine was my brother's Accord. I'd never let them touch my NSX - especially after what they did to my brother's car!
He ended up spending over $3500 for a new engine, but with close to 300,000 miles on his Accord, and most of these miles on the...
Brother's Honda Accord
My brother had to replace his engine at 40K because Jiffy Lube didn't tighten the oil drain plug properly after an oil change (you can guess what happened). The replacement Honda engine was used and already had over 30,000 miles on it. I'm sure the original engine would...
I am fairly new to this forum and have owned an NSX for only several months.
Many years ago, back in 1988, my mom bought an Acura Legend, which did not age very well. The wood dash trim began to crack, and so did all of the leather. Perhaps it was due to improper interior care and the hot...
Lambo withdrawal
I'm still very new to the NSX. I bought mine several months ago and now have it stored for the winter. I didn't get too much time behind the wheel this year, and I've never had the chance to drive it here locally. I'd imagine I'll be getting all sorts of positive reactions next...
Has anyone tried LED lights instead?
Has anyone tried replacing the OEM interior lights and signal indicator lights with LEDs? I would guess that they would be brighter than stock and virtually never need replacing. I found a website that sells LED bulbs which are designed to replace standard...
Reactions to car
I previously owned an 1988 1/2 black Lamborghini Countach (which I eventually replaced with my NSX), so I am used to outrageous reactions from people. The first time I drove my NSX, I was disappointed by how little attention it drew. In a way, I'm kind of relieved. When I used...
