8/25/2016 Live Reveal - NSX "Super Sport"?

You're probably right. it just seems odd since the car is fully revealed and all over their site even http://www.honda.co.jp/NSX/new/. What value does this have? I guess it might just simply be the official Japanese launch.

8/25/2016 Live Reveal - NSX "Super Sport"?

There appears to be some kind of live debut of a Super Sport version of the NSX next Thursday. I don't know too much else since with it being difficult to translate from Japanese. Press Release: spr.ly/6016BFYQe<strike></strike>

So what about the rumored Baby NSX?

Nice job N Spec! I also wanted to bring the patent drawings to life but didn't have the skills to do it. You came very close to the drawings with the exception that it doesn't look as elongated as the patents would show. I think the black bottom trim surrounding the car adds even more to the...

NSX is a platform for more.....

Can you elaborate? I imagine you're referring to the CTR engine going in a new car that uses the transverse layout the new NSX originally planned for. Pretty potent engine if it's in a lightweight package. I hope this baby comes to fruition... patented last May and would be nice if it were...

NSX is a platform for more.....

I realize this is a separate thing. I just meant IN ADDITION, wouldn't it be nice if the rumors were true that they were working on a lower powered, less expensive model to appease Honda dealers. I don't think I'm too off topic here if they incorporate even some of the tech from modular big...

NSX is a platform for more.....

Yes! Though even as an S2000 owner, I would shell out the extra for an MR platform over a FR this time around. Perhaps something more affordable than the 4C, Evora, and Boxster and similar in performance. It's probably asking a lot, but they set a good example with the S660 as a fairly...

NSX is a platform for more.....

Great news, though I hope the rumors are true that the S2000 / Baby NSX vehicle is the new focus in Ohio with the NSX being completed. A more affordable car for us regular folk would be nice. :)

And you thought the beak was bad

This is a design study, so I wouldn't be TOO critical. I just hope Acura does take some cues from this and like that they are thinking about making their cars a little more edgy and sporty. At least it's not glowing!

    Honda Project 2 & 4 Concept (Frankfurt)

I think this will be a cool concept. I'm glad Honda is playing around with more F1/race inspired designs to spice up the brand again. The question is, how much of these design traits will carry over to a production car? Source: http://www.autocar.c...w-new-track-car

Honda UK ad featuring white NSX

Nice nod to Senna there with the NSX ;) Jenson and Fernando too. Great ad.

    Here comes NSX Jr.

I feel the S660 variant that's US bound (if it even comes) will be something like a 1.0L S1000, and not the car we are talking about. The car that fits in between the range of the S660/S1000 and NSX sounds like it will be entirely different. From what we can piece together, it sounds like it...

I think I spotted Honda's new sports car (picture)

Nice rendering. I'm sold on this design. My only gripe here is the sideskirt / front lip is too defined to where it feels aftermarket. I don't mind the black trim to give the illusion of a more slender body though. I think it's done more tastefully on the model at Honda SV.

I think I spotted Honda's new sports car (picture)

That's a good point. It looks a little more conventional than the physical display at Honda SV. Maybe the patent renderings actually represents a closer to production concept that will be revealed at a motor show like Tokyo. Honda's concepts at these shows lately have been closer to their...

I think I spotted Honda's new sports car (picture)

Yup. While that makes me lean towards this not coming to fruition, it's interesting that they registered the design patent in the US on May 27. I wonder if it's just so they can publicly share it as a model in their Silicon Valley research center without worry of their design being stolen, or...
