As a previous owner of 2 NSX's both in near mint condition, I was asked by a local owner to help get his NSX ready for re-certification so he can register the car.
I'm trying to determine what the car will be worth once everything it needs has been fixed so that he can decide how much he wants...
The hood is from a '92 that had 21,000 on it when it was removed. It is in nearly perfect condition (9.5/10) and would require no paintwork. It has one very small clearcoat chip as pictured, no dings, waves or dents. You would need to order matching washer nozzles. $650 plus actual...
SOLD!
Selling my model, new - never had batteries in it - used for display only. I had this painted to match my car and still have original box, controller and instructions.
$125 plus shipping. I take paypal.
SOLD!
Selling my service mat as I no longer own the car. As you know this is a "must have" if you service your own car. The mat is in great condition - a little dirty from use, but no tears or scratches.
$275 includes shipping and I take Paypal.
I love this community!!
I contacted the place that rebuilt the alternator and they said it was a voltage regulator issue. They are sending me another unit. Thanks for the response....it was very useful!!
I swapped out the alternator in my '92 and it looks to be charging fine- based on the gauge, but when I rev the engine the charging light flickers a bit. It did not do this before. Any suggestions?
^ The understatement of the year.
15th in that field with no oval experience is unbelievable. Adapting from road racing to an oval track is a lot more difficult than it probably looks. I hope Jack took a good look at your result!!
More than Awesome!!
I can't believe the announcers did not pick up on that feat. First time on an oval and finishing 15th in front of many Nationwide regulars. He ran consistent, and for a while was the leading Roush car. I think Trevor Bayne only got by on a late race restart.
I replaced the clutch this weekend in a 1992 with a 6-speed conversion. One of the connectors comes from a part in the bottom outside drivers side of the transmission to a 4"x4" black plastic sealed box with a Comptech sticker that is connected in-line with the speed sensor. Anyone know what...
The airbox came from a 1992 NSX with about 25,000 miles on it. The uni-filter which is similar to a K&N has about 5,000 miles on it. Both are in excellent condition. Selling after installing twin turbo.
$250 shipped for both. I do take paypal.
I purchased a kit from Steve about 5 years ago and have since sold my car. The new owner called me to see if I could fix his headlight which was not working. After tracing it to a blown HID bulb, I emailed Steve to see if he could source another. Not only did he find a bulb for an older version...
Short answers are yes, installed it myself. Kit was ALL inclusive - even had a small crows foot wrench for a hard to reach turbo nut. I made ZERO trips to the hardware store and waited for nothing. No issues at all, although I did write an email to SOS suggesting a couple changes in the install...
Just thought I'd post a quick update to my original SOS install for a friend of mine.
The car now has a couple thousand miles on it, and the twin-turbo set-up has performed flawlessly. The entire kit looks and acts like it came stock on the car. There are no leaks, no oil is being used, and...
