That run was with the stock motor. Since then, the head gasket did finally give out and we rebuilt the motor with aftermarket parts. When we took the motor apart, it was in surprisingly good condition. I got married a while back and have not had the car out to the track in a long time (never...
Hi all,

HP Performance turbo system w/67mm bb turbo, SPEC 3 and everything else was bone stock. Video is below, hope the link works.

Buy the HP kit and get someone local to install it. It's really not too bad of an install. If you sent the car to NM to get installed/tuned, you would probably want to have the tune checked out when you got home anyway.
The kit is only $8495...
You are correct. I have been told that the car looks like it is a little lower in the front than stock. The parts appear stock. The car does have over 130K on it though, so maybe it sags a little. Of course when I put 18/19s on it it looks lower than the stock wheels.

HP is directly related to the amount of air you can get into the motor. I think we are about to the limits of the 67mm turbo. We have been pushing the stock motor with my car, just to see what it will handle. So far there have been no problems, but with a poor tune you won't make it past...
Here is HP's direct website. www.hpperformance.com
You can see my car on the front page. I ran the GT35R before upgrading. It is a great turbo. I've got to run for now, but I'll give you more feedback later.

Alright, here is the best I can do for now. This video was taken with a still camera. No zoom, just video. Someone should be getting me a video from a real video camera. I'll post it when I get it.

I went to the track this weekend and got some new times with the HP kit.
My best ET was 10.39 and my best trap speed was 140.6 mph. Here are the slips.

We don't have c16 fuel here, but we use 113 octane at the track. The ignition timing is 18.5 degrees at its max. Much more conservative than the factory timing.

Here is a dyno at 14.4 psi. I don't know why it shows 14.6 max. It must be some kind of boost spike that isn't shown on the curve. When you scroll the mouse across it only goes to 14.4 at the top.
Here is the 605 pull with the boost curve. Once again. The max boost is shown a little...
The boost level does increase throughout the rpms. This was done intentionally using the aem to control the boost. The boost level at the maximum HP is the level that we are referring to. It is safer to run higher boost at higher rpm. We do not want a flat boost curve.

I think that a nine second pass with the stock motor may be a little optimistic. Then again nobody thought I could run tens with a stock motor either.
I don't think the dyno number are optimistic. If you plug my 1/4 mile times into one of the 1/4 mile/ horsepower estimators, you will find...
Daily driving is around 8.5 psi.
As far as the stock clutch goes, mine seemed to do amazingly well. It was holding 450 rwhp. It didn't start slipping until we started pushing close to 500. I think I only ran it like that for about a month, so I don't know how long it would have held the...
