    If you don't use the A/C and it isn't making noise when you have it off, then why not just avoid using it anymore? You could also unplug the one wire to the clutch to prevent it coming on with the defrost.

    No, that is a connector for the actual light bulb - the one I mean is for the reverse light switch which is located on the actual transmission - it's hard to miss if you look under the hood of a civic or integra.

    If your clamps are getting loose, you need to lube the threads on the nuts and hit them with an impact gun. I have cars with those clamps that have been on for over 10 years and have not come loose.
