Guys, if you are paying anyone $65 dollars to cut you an new key based off your existing working key and "clone" your existing immobilizer code to the new key you are flat out getting ripped off. Point blank. My thread was to instruct later year car owners on how to make a titanium/monel key...
Was admiring your setup and would recommend putting your alternator belt shield back on and fabricating a shield for the BBSC shafts drive pulley as well. You have fuel and electrical lines which while unlikely could get damaged by the belt breaking.
Here what I did with mine. Never got around...
Had someone ask me about this mod today, so I thought I would bump this thread for others and give some feedback nearly 3 years later.
Been working great for 3 years. I did notice that the dashboard is dense enough cut/block the signal from opener so you have to be close to your garage for the...
Here you go. This thread takes you step by step. The only thing you need to decide is if you want to use a 12V remote or 3V remote. It is explained in thread. Also, I found that the Dash is dense enough to cut/block the signal strength. So make your cord longer so you can hide your remote closer...
Also, for other things checkout the back pages of the monthly NSX magazine or login into the NSXCA website to view the magazine and you will see all vendors, contact info and discounts they offer.
I see. Please keep us updated. I have an older NOVI 1000 and will need to rebuild or replace at some point. Its noising with the rattle but I don't have any blow by yet from leaking seals.
Good info. So what was going to be the cost if you traded in your blower for a new blower from Paxton versus the other option of superchargerrebuild. I am not sure I would want to rebuild myself as the most important part is balancing the rotating parts. How would you accomplish this on your own?
I currently run a BBSC kit right now and you need to get a more detailed breakdown of all the pieces you are getting to compare the two. At first glance the first one at $5k seems to be throwing in a few more items then the second one. But there are so many factors.
A BBSC Kit Includes:
- All...
A lot of guys are probably going to shy away from doing a turbo tune with FIC. Most are going to want a full standalone setup. Give Jackie a call at Carboy off Bissonnet @ 713-271-9638 he has a dyno at his shop and can do your transmission install as well. He might not want to tune with FIC...
Give this thread a read. You can make it work without pigtails, but I would recommend getting the pigtails as this will make install cleaner and easier to unplug/plug in when you want to access the center console for stereo or other upgrades/issues...
I would say the most popular guy in Houston for tuning our NSX's is Jason, with St00pidfast Tuning. He works out of the Autobanh Motor Sports shop off 59-S and beltway 8. His contact is 713-292-7298. He did mine and I am supercharged on AEM FIC.
If your looking for a shop to do general work and...

Don't be like me and install your "pregapped" spark plugs without checking the gaps personally. On an NA car its not to bad to pull your plugs but on a BBSC car the front bank is impossible to get to without pulling out the coolant tank and entire shaft assembly...
As long as you bought a Grom with Bluetooth then your good and its wireless. Just pick the CD source on the headunit. Although connection is hit or miss from the trunk for some people. I started in the trunk then moved it to behind the driver seat.
Appreciate it. Good luck with the search. Make sure you check out the various threads and wiki advice on what to look out for when buying an NSX. As long as you are willing to spend the time searching the forum you can get almost any answer you need.
Time for a little update...
Decided to bump the boost on the BBSC by going with a smaller pulley and doing an aftercooler setup. I had 3 pulley sizes with the kit and always assumed they were 6 lb, 9 lb and 12 lb as these were the most common back in the day. Well jokes on me as I thought I...
Can't go wrong with the one below.

I thought this conversation and all the suggestions looked really familiar.

Great advice. I choose to install at #2 location as well. Also, I have had my GROM for 3 years now, and a couple months ago I updated the software on it from the GROM website. I would recommend periodically updating it and definitely confirming you have the latest version before installing. It...
