Thanxs for your reply...according to the dealer, the ABS is not working. The ABS light is not on. If the pump is audible when running, mine is not running all the time. The dealer bled the system and tried the panic stop exercise. According to the dealer nothing worked. Any further suggestions?

the dealer thinks the modulator is seized maybe due to lack of frequent use or possibly old brake fluid. the technician changed the fluid and worked to unseize the unit for about 2 hours (not too sure what this involved). they also said it was not registering any trouble codes in the self...
