    Need Carfax please: JH4NA21631T000123

Damn, too bad we didn't hook up before I traded it. No problems with the car. Services were done on time, or earlier. I did some of the oil-changes. the dealer did the others. Other than service: - I had the alignment checked after the first set of rear tires scrubbed off in 5k miles...

This was my car. Anything you'd like to know?

Sometimes it is scary to drive an NSX

This report finally shows what I've been saying all a long. I thought it was sad when the Insurance institute gave the new Bug a high rating. There's no way that car is safe against a heavier vehicle, only brick walls. Yet they gave most trucks and SUV’s poor ratings, against their brick...

It's Poll time! What's the mileage and year of your NSX?

01' Silver 14k miles #123 This winter has slowed me down. It's only been out a few of times since early Dec.

50% OFF 2003 "Fast Expensive Cars" calendar...

Wife got me this calendar for x-mas. Some very-very cool cars. One of the best assemblies I've seen. Too bad the NSX is the lowest priced car in it. They even priced the 63 vette higher. If you like car calendar's, get this one. It's pretty hot. Or is that wet? ------------------ 01'...

    New Lambo Gallardo

I thought this was suppose to be a baby Lambo? Priced to compete w/ the F360. Maybe their $250k estimate is a bit high. In any case, 500hp out of 5 liters sounds sweet! ------------------ 01' NSX-T Silverstone 02' Chevy Avalanche 1500 00' Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300 02' Honda VTX-1800 02'...

    "Money Shift" at 12,000 RPMS

Holy Crap! Hurt just looking at it. I can't even imagine what it sounded like.

    Torque and acceleration

I was going to note the same thing. I owned a 99' Vette, and the shift points in MPH are pretty close (1-2 and 2-3). So, the RW-torque (MPH) band is actually pretty close on the two cars, which is why they have similar 0-60 times. ------------------ 01' NSX-T Silverstone 02' Chevy Avalanche...

I am really proud of myself

Totally agree. I quit 15 years ago now, and it wasn't hard. I just had to want it. I was a 2.5 packs/day smoker. Congrats on your achievement! After the first few months it's all down hill. The cravings keep getting lighter, and further between. Just DON'T start again. No point in...

    Best Radar detector

    Thanks!!!!!!!
  11. J

yes another targa vs coupe question.

Prior to my NSX I had a 99' vette coupe, in which I occasionally took the top off. Got the NSX in Aug of 01'. This summer I went 2+ months with out putting the top ON once. The NSX-T is a much better topless ride than the Vette was. Bats the wife's hair around a bit, but she just ties it...

    Best Radar detector

Love my V1, but hate the lack of auto-mute. No one else has the directional arrows, and they are useful!

    Skid pad

Skid pad measures the cornering G-force while driving the car in a circle on a smooth surface. The higher the number the better. In essence it's measuring how sticky your tires are and how well the car balances the weight across each wheel best utilizing the tire grip. The NSX has VERY soft...

    2004 Acura NSX Hybrid

    I agree w/ NetViper. Don't need a new model, just a REAL update. Even if a v8 doesn't fit, a punched out / blown 6 will do

    Heat Effects on T-top

I'm not gonna bother getting it fixed. The only option I see is paint, and it isn't that bad. At least not yet. If I decide to keep the car after the lease is up, I'll probably make them fix it under warranty.

    Heat Effects on T-top

I've found if I put the top on immediately after I stop, it's cool enough to touch. Let it sit a few minutes and it gets very warm. Most of the time I just leave it off, since only drove it topless the last few months. I did get some paint damage this spring, when I was taking it on/off...

    2500 rpm, 60mph, Oil Gauge at 7???

I'm assuming you mean 7 on the pressure gauge? If so: The pressure gauge is not meant to be an indication of oil level, just pressure. Use the dip-stick in the engine bay for level. Just like any other car. Check owners manual. ------------------ 01' NSX-T Silverstone 02' Chevy Avalanche...

    350Z vs NSX

From some angles I see the TT resemblance. I like the Z a bit better. It's a nice little sports car, especially for the money. The wife and I ride topless too often to consider the Z, but these are wonderful times. More and more sports cars to choose from!

    HOW ABOUT ONE OF THESE

I didn't know they were throwing a turbo on the GTR. Not much of a street car, but WOW!

911TT 996 or Diablo or a couple of NSX ???

Why not an 00-01 NSX for daily driving and a Viper for the days you want to feel really manly? Given your selection and the apparent need to rid your self of 140k , I think I'd try the new TT. They'll hold value well, so you can always sell it to buy a new SCed NSX, and probably still have...

Anyone else tired of seeing carfax requests?

Missed this one before. Don't worry I'm not I was just in the mood to bitch about something I thought was wrong. Sure seems some are, but tough to judge emotion through writing. [This message has been edited by JohnC (edited 17 September 2002).]

Anyone else tired of seeing carfax requests?

OK, so milz50 had an answer to the expire problem. Still sucks, but if you're doing that many car checks, something is wrong. I'm mean is the carfax the reason for most car investigations to end? Probably not. So why not do a bit of checking on the cars first, and pull the carfax later in...

Anyone else tired of seeing carfax requests?

Yes, I did read those posts, and I admit that information is troubling. I don't have an answer. I kinda understand what they are doing. I'm sure it only affects a handful of people(those doing a lot of background checks for personal use), but it sucks for those people.
