Skid pad

I don't realy know that much about the tests that these cars have to go throught but i always thought the lower your skidpad is the better your car handles. Correct me if i'm wrong but a Z06 does .98G while the NSX does .92G So what is better the NSX or the Corrvette.

I just want to how you determine the better turning one. Thanks.
 
Skid pad measures the cornering G-force while driving the car in a circle on a smooth surface. The higher the number the better. In essence it's measuring how sticky your tires are and how well the car balances the weight across each wheel best utilizing the tire grip. The NSX has VERY soft tires, but also very narrow compared to a Vette.

Mercedes has a prototype car which varies the camber while turning. They claim it’ll pull something like 1.2 G’s on a skid pad. If true, and it makes production, that technology will be a huge leap forward.
