I had a company that specializes in Plastic restoration and finishing do the work on my parts. They used PPG along with clear coat. I purposly chose a 'semi-gloss finish which is evident in the pic.
I am very pleased with the result and would not consider going back to the C.F. look.

Here's jpeg of my car just after I bought it 3 years ago, and another one 2 mos later. I don't know how old the CF decals were , but they were bubbled, peeling & faded looking.

I have for some unknown reason been hesitant to divulge the mileage of mine on posts like this one, kind of embarrassed to have one with that much compared to most peoples. In reality it's a tribute to the quality built into such a great car.
My 92 just turned 173.5k this weekend. I put 80 miles...

Don't bother trying, find a company that specializes in automotive plastic restoration and refinishing or fork out the $1400.-1600 for a new OEM set.
I found a company by the name of 'GCAR' a co. that specializes in concours level restoration of automotive dash plastic and chrome.
Here are the...
Actually I use them for almost all my maint/repair work. They are the ones who first brought the issue to my attention and stated something about my Right front not being able to get "set" to match the left. They can offer no solution.
Thanks for the reply though!

Yes, I already know that alignment is part of the equation but having educated myself for the last few...
Aug 2002 I took some cash out of the bank and surprised my wife with a brand new black PT Cruiser.
In Late Sept I decided to drive it by myself down to Newport Beach (so Calif) to visit my parents for the weekend. On the following Sat morning I took my Mother out for a drive in the PT since she...
I wanted to mention to those who keep an eye out for anything in print concerning NSX. The current issue which just hit the stands has an intersting article concening a new driving video game's realisim vs actual track driving. The NSX is featured as one of the "super cars"

Hi
Any theories on what is the root cause of mis-firing after washing or wet weather driving? I am very cautious about directly or indirectly getting the engine bay wet when washing. The engine bay seems to stay pretty dry during driving as well.
I have checked to ensure that the rubber gasket...
