NEW INFO:

Shortly after placing this ad, I was deployed to China. I just returned last night. China is not friendly toward some internet sites. Included were google, and for some reason , NSX prime. I did get a few of the emails and was successful in replying to some, but not to all. I apologize to those whom I failed to whom I failed to respond.

Now that I am back, I intend to schedule maintenance to replace the timing belt and water pump as soon as possible.
Thank you all for your patience.

Now back to the original post.

I see on the Carfax that there was an accident prior to my ownership. I was not informed about it when I purchased the car in 2002. During my ownership, I saw no evidence of this, so I assume the repairs were well done.

The only current problem with the car is that the original radio/cassette/CD changer does not work. The radio head lights up, but there is no sound from the speakers. There also a minor spot of missing paint at the top rim of the center console. (appros 1/8 in.) Picture will be attached.

The first owner replaced the air filter with a K&N air filter. The original filter is available. He also replaced the original wheels with Boyd Custom rims.

Other than those items, this car is very much original, and very clean. It was my daily driver for the first three years, and then driven only sparingly and only in good weather. It has been garaged for at least the past 14 years, normally under cover, even while in the garage.

The seats are in excellent condition with minor wear on the bolsters, as they have had sheepskin covers in place, apparently since new. See in the pictures that I pulled the sheepskin back on the drivers seat so you can see underlying condition. Both seats are like this when uncovered. If you see loose threads in the seat pics, they are from the sheepskins which are well worn, not from the seats.

The body is also in excellent condition. I tried to take pics of the minor paint issues, but they were so minor they wouldn't show up, with the excerption of the curb rash which is visible in the picture of the lower nose.

All tires were replaced within the past 200 miles, due to age, not wear. The only bad paint is on the lower chin due to curb rash.

The car simply doesn't get the use it deserves. We are retired, and it is time to let her go to someone who will enjoy it for the magnificent machine that it is. We have downsized homes since retirement and the NSX has been garaged while my wife's car sits outside. We just passed 206,000 miles on her car and it is time to update. She would really like to keep her next car in the garage. The logical step is to sell my old friend, and use the proceeds to replace hers, and open up the garage spot at the same time. This has been obvious for a couple years, but I have been dragging my feet. Every time she asks, "When are you going to sell the NSX?" I reply that it will go up any day. You can only live in peace using that line for a couple years, before you start getting some dirty looks. I hate to see it go, but the good news is that I will be selling it for more than I paid for it, and the next owner should do even better than I. They become more rare every year.
