I was hoping for a little imput into a sudden stock clutch problem that has arose. Over the last week, I have noticed it hard at times to go into neutral out of 2nd or 1st when coming to a stop. At that time the clutch pedal felt normal as well as everthing else.
Today, the clutch feels different once the car is started and shifting begins.
Turn off the car and the clutch pedal feels as it always has for 4 years.
What I'm feeling is the pedal doesn't want to rise up the same.
It feels like its sticking a little, but not really.
The force required to push it in is higher a bit.
This is really hard to explain.
Once again, turn off the car and everything feels normal.
I checked the fluid level, perfect.
I inspected the hood area, no leaking.
I inspected the engine bay area, no leaking.
The clutch was just out of my car 4000 miles ago and I installed a new disk that is closest to the flywheel, the other was well within spec.

I am stumped.
Let me know if you have any ideas.

Well, my thoughts are why is this happening when the engine is running and the trans is going through a gear or two.
That would eliminate the master/slave.
Then moving on from there we have a fork and throw out bearing and sleeve.
That would be the next logical step to look at.
LarryB tells me that in our pull type clutch, the sleeve is always turning with the engine rpm.
Ed asked me if the car creeps ahead in first gear with the clutch push in and the answer on that is no.
Keep it coming folks.
Maybe we'll look next at popping the fork off and reattaching it to the throw out bearing.
I just got in from a mad ride and most of the time, things where fine, but then comes that funny pedal feel and hard to get it from 2nd into neutral.
To me it feels like the throw out bearing is a bit sideways on a shaft and is scraping or binding.
Wish I had x-ray vision.

Allow me to reitierate: the "Throw-Out Bearing" is always turning at engine speed:).

Ok, once I ripped the Trans apart because of a blown disk, I found out the problem.
My throwout bearing and its guide are galled.
They had grease on them when they came out, Max at Acura says he has only used the Honda Urea grease on it. He had this out a few times. I cleaned the throw out bearing last time so I know It didn't have built up material on it. So why this happened who knows.

This problem happened way before the disk blew, like 6000 miles.
So your theory is wrong there, but thanks.
And why do you have to talk about my PP anyways?
lol

I think Crescent might be right - Better check your PP trev ...

The throw out bearing GUIDE must be replaced next time I crack this baby open. I was in a rush to get the new clutch in and we didn't have one or time.
I simply finely sanded and polished the grooved one, not the best solution, but the one I took.
Also with 190,000 km, its time to change the master and slave for me, thats when I take this clutch and its throw out mechanism out.
I have a few drops under the dash on the master's rod and a torn boot on the slave I took out.
Flush out the old dirty fluid and get her done right.
