in reference to my original inquiry:

i went ahead and became the "guinea pig" for the coil pack that batman posted in the ebay link.
It works! Sort of ...
The black plastic casing of the unit is slightly different than OEM.
There is more "meat" on top and around the bolt holes.
What this means is the coil packs cover with the 2 long rubber seals that goes on top of the valve cover WILL NOT FIT.
So right now I am driving around with my rear bank "naked".
My plan is to use a file/dremel and grind down this extra meat so that the coil pack cover will fit back on.
hopefully i will not grind into some actual ... coil.
