Any Texas area performance driving schools?

I keep hearing about all these great performance/track driving schools in California and Arizona, but are there any for us Texans nearby? Searching the internet I found 2 schools, but they were Indy racing type schools only.

I would really like to take a course, but don't want to drive to Cali to do so.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well heck yeah there is! The Driver's Edge holds events in both College Station at Texas World Speedway (15 turns 2.9 miles) and in Fort Worth at Motorsports Ranch. Both tracks are extremely safe if you go off (and you will eventually)

John Eagle Honda is putting on an event May 18,19 at TWS and Driver's Edge will be at TWS in June as well. Get in contact with Lisa Rainoshek at John Eagle Honda in Houston - this is the best price as they sponsor about half the money you'd normally put up.
